Milwaukee 6230 PortaBand checkout

[Farmall 1066]

Bought a nice, barely used Milwaukee 6230 PortaBand this weekend for $80. Had a Greenlee 531, which I like, but the variable speed and common blade size made me want to upgrade.
Anything to look for or maintain on my Milwaukee?

I'm specifically concerned with grease in the worm drive unit.
Is there a way to check it?

Would love to know too, we just got one at work diff from one we were using previously

I used the heck out of them for building fence.

Make sure the screws on the cutting stop/bumper stay tight. They worked loose on one saw and eventually stripped.

Otherwise, I never had a problem with them. They just work. I believe the gearcase is sealed, but I'm not positive.

Dewalt and Milwaukee bands seem to hold up the best for us.

Sure beats a sawzall or abrasive any day of the week.

I noticed that guide was a bit loose. Tightened it up and all seems well.
