Milwaukee Band Saw

I have need for a portable band saw and was looking at the Milwaukee Mod 6232-20. I'm sure someone here has one, whats your opinion of it? Thanks

I have an older Milwaukee one and it's really decent. Unfortunately I bet the new one is nothing like it, but hopefully still quality.

In my opinion, it is one of the best available portables out there. It gets good reviews on milwaukeetool.com too.

I have two of them that are at least 20 years old each, still going strong.

i bought the two speed version, sure seems like a beast. i read the variable speed switch was sometimes troublesome. so i got the two speed and a variable speed router controller for 15 bucks, works great and if the vartiable speed controller messes up then i still have the high/low on the saw. either way you should be satisfied. ear plugs are almost mandatory with this thing.

12V-- You make a good point for the 2 speed plus they're a little cheaper.

I dont get out my portaband often but when I do, I wonder how I ever got along without it. As others said, not sure about the new ones but mine is at least 30 years old and still going strong.
