Milwaukee Battery Failure Failure Signs?

Hello,

I'm using a genuine Milwaukee 9amp battery, about 1 year old, on my high torque impact gun. Using it almost every day in an automotive shop. I bought it from craigslist in sealed package, so I have no receipt.

At first, I had to charge it about once every 10 to 14 working days. Then it took about 4 to 5 hours to fully charge on a slow charger.

This last month, I have to recharge it about every 3 to 4 days. And it seems to charge too quickly, about 20 to 30 minutes.

Are these signs of a failing or failed battery?

If your using the high torque impact, which battery are you using?

Milwaukee has 2 different 9ah battery's. If on the side it says HD 9ah, that's the defective one. If it says High Demand, that's the OK one. Call cust service and they should send you a new replacement.

When I got my 2767 impact, it came with a 5.0 battery. After about a year of it being the only battery I had at the shop, it started to slow down similar to what you describe, but not to that extreme. Right now it's about on par with a 3.0 as far as performance is concerned. Could be defective as mentioned.

I just sent mine back about a month ago...they can read the battery info and tell when it was initially charged and how many times as well. They paid for shipping and sent a brand new battery after mine crapped out.

Go online and fill in the return info and get a label...
