Milwaukee Battery Service?

I have a handful of the current generation Milwaukee batteries. Lately, a few have whacked out on me. My larger M18 8.0 battery when charged will show 2 bars but die in about 2 minutes when being used. Another will charge fully and after a bit of use, the battery indicator will start flashing. One is around the 2yr mark and the other less than that. What's the quickest way to have them serviced? I believe all were purchased from Home Depot.

Sounds like good old fashioned worn out batteries... ***** like a big dog. You can try flash charging and discharging them a few times, but you're experiencing something thet said would never happened - your LiIon batteries have developed a floor / ceiling memory, so you're kind of hosed.

I've heard of people doing the hot charge / discharge cycle and getting your failed cells back on line, I did it ONE time with a camera battery, every other time it failed...

IIWY, I'd try to exchange then as defective. Don;t know if it would work, but (from my experience) your odds of success are pretty long, sorry!

Don’t screw around flashing etc……..if they under warranty………send them in:

The only DIY check would be try a different Milwaukee charger. If you send it in and they say the battery(s) is ( are) good….then the charger Is the prime suspect. If that happens you still owe nothing for Milwaukee service and shipping. You also might think about sending the battery(s) and charger for evaluation.

Why people **** around when their batteries are still within the warrantee period is a mystery to me. Save your receipts look up when you bought it and if it's under three years as it is in this particular case go to the website and fill out the form and print the label. WHAT THE HELL IS SO DIFFICULT ABOUT THIS?? I've got a FedEx drop off point on every street corner here in Phoenix. Why people are so reticent to do this amazes me. That’s why the damn batteries cost so much to begin with so why avoid using the warrantee that’s provided with them? I've done it at least 15 times with various Milwaukee products.

I need to stop slacking and just send some of my 9.0s in along with the m18 power source. Was trying to do a drop off, but apparently 30 miles is too far for this slacker...
