I am replacing my old Ridgid power tools. Drill, sawzall, circ saw. I already have some Milwaukee M18 lights and 1/4" Fuel impact driver. Home Depot has the 1/2" Fuel hammer drill with the brushed sawzall combo and 2- 5.0 batteries for $250. Upgrading from my old ridgid I'm sure the brushed Milwaukee is better.
For occasional use is the brushed a good deal?

I am sure it will be a good tool regardless of use. Should have the same 5yr warranty as the Fuel tools.
There are some adaptors made to convert the Ridgid batts to Milwaukee tools. Some guys go that route for the lifetime ridgid batt warranty.
I still have an Old V18 sawzall that I use with an adapter to my M18 batts. But I learned not to use more than a 5.0 batt on those old V18 tools. The sawzall burned up a trigger SW with my 8.0 batt.

FUEL is better but how much better do you need. Until 10 years ago all Sawzall's were brushed and still people got **** done.

I ordered the combo kit with the brushed sawzall. Been using one at work that blows my old ridgid away.
