My Home Depot has this Milwaukee kit for $229:

Unfortunately it is no longer available via the regular Home Depot web site, making me think it was discontinued.

Also they have the standard $179 Ridgid kit as well:

I like that the Milwaukee is a hammer drill, I could certainly use it vs. having to go buy a separate one, I like combos like that, saves space.

Outside of that which would you buy? I have a $50 off coupon that expires today.

Anything wrong with the Milwaukee ie being discontinued for a better model?

I have the Ridgid kit as well and its my go to kit. I love the fact that the batteries and the tool have a lifetime warranty as long as you register it. That was my deciding factor because I cant seem to keep a battery over a year. They all seem to go bad on me. I would reccomend the ridgid in a heart beat.

Just my .02

Milwaukee is going to be better if you use them hard. Seems like Ridgid is the budget "prosumer" brand at HD these days.

The Milwaukee fuels are supposed to be awesome.

Forget about the hammer function on a cordless drill - It'll help you drill the occasional anchor in your garage floor, but they aren't very good for any real hammering work .

+1 for the Milwaukee kit. The batteries fit a ton of other tools. I understand the Fuel batteries are compatible with regular M18 tools.

I'm a Li-Ion battery building enthusiast and I just love Milwaukee battery system. Bar-none, the best in the industry with capacity, longevity (except for Canadian cell ones), and features.

I went with the Ridgid. It was $129 plus tax w/ my coupon. Reason for not getting the Milwaukee was the hammer drill had no depth gauge (important in my mind), and it was $50 more without the lifetime warranty on the batteries which is what always go first. I figure I can either find a used Ridgid hammer drill on ebay for cheap or get a corded hammer drill. In my experience with drilling concrete it takes quite a while and burning batteries just didn't make sense to me.

Wish the Ridgid was a hammer drill for say $200, too bad they don't sell that package.
