Milwaukee compact drill/driver combo

Been planning on buying the compact brushless drill/driver combo. Figured the Black Friday deals would be the best time.

Right now HD is offering the combo along with a 2 pack of 4 amp batteries for 299. I need extra batteries due to the use my drill and driver get.

Is it likely I'll see a better deal if I wait until BF?.

Unless you get a combo with one of the 700+ inch pound drills, don't even bother. Those 425 inch pound drills are worthless.

Ya THAT does sound like a pretty good offer the brushless compact drill pkg alone is reg. $199 with compact 2.0 batteries. So the combo driver and drill one XC battery one compact is normally $299 so to add two additional 4.0 batteries is a solid deal in my book and I would be surprised to see better except for maybe to stack 10-15% promo on top.

I just saw a tv commercial for true value hdwe at 139 for the set.

Thanks for the link, but not looking for a beefy drill. Got a few different hammer drills to pick from at work if I need one. I need something that can hang off my belt for a good part of the day. Main use is for pre-drilling for screws and occasionally driving trim screws. My current Panasonic is 390 in lbs and does the job. This one will be it's backup.

I didn't see the deal online. Local store had a display with the kit. You could pick all the
tools you mentioned... or the battery combo pack as the free option.

Light is good.

I really don't care to be carrying around my 2604 for small jobs.

I can highly recommend any of the Fuel M12 series, the drills and especially the 2402 hex screwdriver!

Normally I'm pretty passive but this made me think and then I realize that 95% of what I used a cordless drill for the last 5 years was done with drills that had less than 425 in lbs. AND EVEN THEN 425 DRILL DID TWIST MY WRISTS PRETTY WELL DRILLING THAT 3/8" HOLES THOUGH 1/4" STEEL PLATE.

I can't argue there. You're correct. I was the same way. My views changed this past week coincidentally. I spent the last 4 days wiring an addition with my buddy and both of my Ridgid 18v drill's were no match to his Milwaukee. Neither of mine are brushless and neither was his, but it was FUEL. One is a hammer drill the other a drill/driver, his was hammer drill. So now, I have two drills that can't do he same as one of his. If and when I buy a new drill, such as the OP is planning, I am going to buy the best of the best. This way, when that other 5% of that time does comes around, my cordless will do the job vs running out 100' of extension cord to drill 3 holes with a Hole Hawg. Or 30. The real kick in the nuts was when his Ryobi drilled holes the Ridgid's couldn't. I'm talking 3/4" worm drive bits up to 18" long, 3/4"-1" paddle bits and 1" self feeding bits through 2x4's allllll day long.
