milwaukee cordless M12 ratchet issues?

I got this as it's own kit that comes with a soft Milwaukee case. Don't think it's a seconds or defective goods..

Anyway my problem is that the 3/8" drive square fits kind of loose, extension is easy to fall off.

Also it lacks power it describes, 35 ft lbs? no way, I was loosening some valve cover bolts and I have to manually turn the ratchet on SOME of them but they are not even on that tight.. Only supposed to be 7 ft lbs. Once loosened it spins the bolt out fast which is nice.. but it has no kick like I would have expected for 35 ft lbs.

Granted I charged it a few months ago when I first got it, but the indicator does show 4 lights I just picked it up and use it, I didn't bother charging it.
do you think I got a dud? feels a bit like a cordless screw driver

Shouldn't have a loose fit, as for power sometimes I have to crack loose then zip it off

I would return it if it was a recent purchase and get a new one.

It definitely does not have 35 ft-lbs of breakaway torque. I did some torque test and the best my Milwaukee will undo is 12 ft-lbs. 80% of the time, I'll break loose the bolt manually then run it off under power. I imagine most people use their ratchets this way.

ok, if yours only cracked 12ft lbs then maybe mine isn't defective. Supposed to be 5 year warranty though.

It's underwhelming - advertised as 35 ft lbs but it only does 12..? seems like false advertising or they really screwed up some of the batches.

I bought the 3/8ths, used it once, and returned it the next day. I ended up getting the 1/4" and I'm much happier with it. Maybe it's just the thought that a 3/8" should do more, but, in reality they're only 5ft lbs stronger (as advertised).

I can't say mine is super tight holding sockets & extensions, but it's not 'loose' like it sounds like yours is. More tight than a HF wobble extension, less tight than SO (Williams) socket to SO ratchet. If that makes sense, I don't have a whole lot to compare it against as some of my sockets the drive side is a little looser than others.
