Looks like Milwaukee is adding to their wrench line up by offering SAE & Metric line wrenches. Can't believe they omitted 8mm

Omission of 8mm is a sin!

Not intending to derail the flare wrench discussion but I noticed they are offering locking flex head ratchets now too.

They look nice. I honestly wonder how well they will hold up. Right now the only brand that I’ve found that won’t spread the jaws is Snap-on. It would be nice to have some more affordable options as I need a good set for the house. No 8mm though is kind of a deal breaker for me.

One does wonder who makes these choices at Milwaukee. OK, I figured it out. The same guy at TOPTUL that hates 13, 15 and 18 mm sockets and wrenches.

They offer a 1/4x5/16.
Yeah it means buying an individual wrench, but its an option.
And If they are to spec, its a tighter fit anyways...7.94 vs 8mm.

Yeah, I saw the Milwaukee locking flex heads at SEMA. The heads on the 3/8 & 1/2 drive versions seemed wide to me. I think the best of the lot might be the 9 inch 1/4 drive.

By leaving out the 8mm they force you to buy the SAE set in order to get the 5/16....
