So I love this little Hackzall for small jobs especially up on a ladder but there is no belt clip which to me seems just ridiculous. So I had to figure out how to add one. This is for the m12 and looks like it would work the exact same way on the m18, but not the fuel versions just because of the vents that I attached it to aren't there on the fuel version.

What you will need for this are
Milwaukee 42-70-0580 m12 belt clip
6-32 screw and lock nut

You will have to take the saw apart to do this

You will have to bend the little tabs a bit straighter on the clip like in this pic

As you can see the screw is out of the way on the inside and does not effect anything

Finished product, clip can be installed on the opposite side for leftys

Looks pretty good. I might put a rubber thread protector over the end of the bolt to insulate it too (as you can see it poking inward in the third picture), except I don't have a 'zall to hack.

That's the motor casing right there next to it, didn't see the need to cover the screw since nothing there moves.

You can do whatever you want to yours, you don't have to be an *** about something that doesn't matter, if the armature jumps out of the case that screw will be the last of my worries.
