Sorry if stupid question or in the wrong place - first new topic..

I've made a couple of Milwaukee tool only purchases over the past few weeks.

Looking for cases for them - I know I can grab a bag or store them in a drawer at home - but, would prefer a Milwaukee hard case for convenience and to protect them while out and about.

Are the hard cases something you can even purchase alone? If so, I figured someone here would know a good place to check out - thanks!

No, I don't believe there is any option to buy the hard cases on their own.

That said, I'm sure you could find plenty of folks between here and eBay looking to get rid of spare hard cases. Might want to specify which tools you're looking into cases for.

I have a brand new hard case from (I believe) my 3/8" M12 impact wrench set. It lives in storage, but I can grab it over the weekend and find out what shipping cost would be. I get a feeling with the size of them, the shipping will be excessive if they can't be crammed into some form of flat rate envelope/box.

Thanks for the quick responses.

Looking for a case for the Fuel Sawzall 2720 and will be for the 3/8" impact wrench (if I can find the tool in stock by this weekend).

Would love to just buy the kit that comes with the 2 4.0 batteries AND the case - but, can't justify spending that kind of money each time I want to grab a tool (not to mention that HD doesn't carry some of those kits in store and promo won't work online).

have you tried contacting milwaukee?

they should be able to tell you if a hard case is available

Are you saying I should contact the manufacturer? Ridiculous advice.

milwaukee has been very helpful in the past when i asked about the availabilty of hard cases for tool only purchases

i was gonna give you the info for the impact case, or even offer the one i have sitting unused on a shelf

but with that attitude, nevermind....

Check online for a place that sells Milwaukee repair parts. The exploded art/parts list may contain a part number for a case that will hold your particular tool.

I haven't tried it with Milwaukee but I've seen specific tool cases given part numbers with Dewalt/Porter Cable stuff.

edit: ereplacementparts.com shows Milwaukee cases in parts lists.

If your going to spend money on cases, why not just start investing in a modular setup like the Festool systainer or Dewalt Tstak?

Way way better for transporting then those bloated, odd shaped oem cases.

Sarcasm and the internet don't mix.

Crewchief, pretty sure he really was joking, I actually found both comments amusing, but I have a sense of humor (sarcasm intended).

I'm new around here - and, possibly, the most sarcastic person on the planet. 100% joking - was hoping that little smirk faced yellow guy would convey that. My bad!

Haha, thanks for appreciating my, apparently piss-poor, sense of humor - there I go being sarcastic again lol.

It is tough on forums, some people take things too literally, heck sometimes I can't tell if people are being sarcastic or just stupid.

There are plenty of people that get the humor and plenty of them that would rather stick to the facts, don't worry about it.

Thanks for the heads up, will definitely check it out.

Took a quick look at the Milwaukee parts list and thought I didn't see them. Could've missed them - will look again.

Thanks for the thought, never crossed my mind. They seem reasonably priced, too. Something like the dewalt deep box - $30 - could easily store/carry a couple of tools/accessories in something like that. Will look at the rest of the system.

Found them online - 2654 box for $22 and 2720 box for around $38.

tarbellb got me thinking, though - that's $60.

If I shop it right - I could probably get 2 of the big Milwaukee boxes that guys around here have been posting up - or a piece or two from one of the stackable systems mentioned above.

My OCD side wants the oem boxes as it'd be a nice touch - but, they only carry tool/battery/charger.

My practical side is figuring the job boxes that I could load up to store and/or carry would be better spent money.

Thoughts?

I've bought a ton of M18 fuel stuff over the last couple months. You're welcome to all the hard cases. I don't need / use them. Just PM me.
