Anyone try these yet ? I'm quite interested but have a barrel chest and heard they run kinda small most 2x clothing will fit me but not all hate to spend 200 bucks and have it not fit.
Yeah, it's just a standard size M barrel connector. It's also shared by the Bosch heated gear, and probably Dewalt. It's just two contacts, so I can't see any reason you couldn't buy any heated gear you like, no matter which system you're in. Milwaukee even has an adapter for M18 batteries to be used. The power connector used by the Milwaukee jackets is the same as that used by CCTV cameras, and 12V LED lights (among MANY other things).
If you're feeling creative, you could use one of these to power it:

For that matter, you can buy the connectors with pigtails and use any 12 volt power source you can think of. Lithium jump packs come to mind since many of them have an output other than the clamps.
I had to get out of bed and go check, I didn't believe it, but by golly you're right. I couldn't power my Bosch jacket with an M18 in the adapter. Now I gotta know how. It sure seems to just be two contacts and a connector. At some point I'll have to figure out why, or it'll kill me until I know.Reportedly the Bosch heated gear knows you're not giving it a Bosch battery. Never understood how, there must be a "secret handshake" at the start.
But I'm running Craftsman and DeWalt heated gear on M12 holsters.
edit: I fear more manufacturers are going to find ways to prevent the holster interchangeability. I mean it'll plug in but the heated gear will look for an "identifier" from the battery before firing up. Or something. We know it's possible 'cause Bosch has done it. I hope not, it's cool right now to be able to shop other brands but stay within your battery platform.

This is a myth and the videos showing the kid flying out of their car seat from wearing a coat is completely doctored. My wife freaked out about it for a week until I looked up the facts.Quick Questions Fellas ?
Where is the heat pads/source on these...
Thinking I could use them as warmer ~blankets~ for the baby-carseats....aka, jackets are not okay when toddlers/etc are in the carseats.

It's not reverse polarity. I confirmed the output so I could use a Bosch holster to bench test components, and I use it power up cameras so I can adjust their angle while mounting.I don't own anything I can test, but I'll throw out a wild guess that Bosch's polarity is simply reversed from the norm. Anybody care to test this theory?
While the heating element on these jackets would not care about polarity, the electronics that control it might. I know that Gerbing warns about strange issues if the polarity is reversed.
Please share if you figure it out. I've never even looked at the Bosch gear as a result. I'm not willing to adopt more batteries and chargers just for a piece of heated gear. Plus Milwaukee leads the pack right now with compact 3.0's (but others will catch up soon).
Well I have the answer gentleman. It's simple and easy to defeat without modification. The Bosch holster pulses to open twice upon plugging in the connector. It doesn't affect what the holster will or will not power, but the jacket needs to see those pulses.I don't own anything I can test, but I'll throw out a wild guess that Bosch's polarity is simply reversed from the norm.
