Milwaukee High Capacity Tool Storage Cabinet

I looked around but didn't find any discussion on this...

I was not too impressed with the HD Milwaukee Tool Cabinet as compared to the HF General Series 2 cabinets. Both were very comparable in size and price/quality... that is, until I watched the reviews on this!

This thing is BADASS! Unfortunately it was a limited release for 2017 Black Friday and they sold out world-wide in December... now I want one!

Does anyone know of a cabinet that compares in features and quality? Don't even say husky... watched the video's on the assembly of those as well.

I reached out to the Milwaukee Heavy Duty folks and they will not respond; so it is obvious this is China grey line and manufactured by someone for Milwaukee and HD. Anyone know if there are any plans to bring it back? It is worth the extra $200 for the features and ruggedness...

OBTW... I am not the kind of guy that can dump $8000 on a cabinet with the truck folks. I make reasonable quality purchases so I can fund the rest of the toys or invest to earn some cash... If I were a mechanic running a shop; it would be a different story.

Both Milwaukee and manufacturer of that box, who uses the name 'product expert', have posted Q&A responses saying that box was only a one-time holiday season promotional item and will not be restocked or resold.

FWIW the manufacturer of that box and the newer heavier gauge Husky boxes are the same. Zhongshan Geelong Manufacturing Co in China.

The textured black Husky cabinets are on the same level of quality and metal thickness as the Milwaukee ones, and are at a similar price point.

I do think they're worth the extra money. The gloss black Husky cabinets are fine, but when you handle them in person, they are noticeably more flimsy than the textured black ones, or the Milwaukees.

The International brand tool cabinets that you can order through Home Depot are great quality, although they're a little more pricey than the Milwaukee ones - $999 for the 18"D Tech Series cabinet combo, and $1699 for the 24"D Pro series cabinet combo.

I want one also. They sold out very quickly and got excellent reviews. Milwaukee's website shows the older model as having been discontinued so I'm betting we'll see this new model again.

My HD has 3 of the older model in stock. I've nearly bought one several times but I keep realizing that I really prefer the newer model.

Come on Milwaukee!
