Milwaukee Hole Saw Set Question

Is this normal? I bought this set today at Rural King on sale and the saws are either gapped at the weld, oblong, or the finish is chipping off.
Edit: The set was $84, it was 10% off.

Mine certainly don’t look like **** like those...

I would absolutely return those...they are either knock offs, complete **** that Milwaukee made or something was wrong with the manufacturing process...not even round.

The minute you use it the paint is going somewhere else <> not equals to the holesaw itself.

Imo they would be fine in soft materials, but the thin tooth would probably break off if you are using it in soft steels.

The end of it has wrench flats so a person can remove it from the 1000ft-lbs sticking it to the threaded arbor.

I'm probably going to take them back and exchange them. I understand the paint will come right off, but I shouldn't be paying that kind of money for peeling paint from the manufacturer.

Check the COO, it is probably China like almost all Milwaukee products. I have had good luck with Irwin hole saws from Rural King although they seem to have scaled back their Irwin inventory in favor of Milwaukee.

I wasn’t referring to the paint in my earlier post...but the roundness and **** joints...those are ****....they should not be out of round...

IME from notching pipe, the Hole Dozers are **** anyway - soft and don't hold an edge

Let me look at a few of mine. I have a few Milwaukee hole saws, not a complete set. The paint will come off when used. Oblonged, that's another story.

Sometimes, I think RK gets some of the older stock available so they can put it on sale cheaper.

That style of hole saw is already annoying to use, being out of round and not welded properly is only going to make it worse.

Return, check new set, or look at Lenox.

I can't comment about the gap or oblongness, but the coating issue might be due to the hole saws banging around during transport. That looks like it could also be a surface contamination issue where the coating didn't adhere properly.

All of the Milwuakee hole saws I've seen are made in the USA.
