My Milwaukee drill has never been re-greased since new in1988. I really have not used it much over the years and would like to put it back into service. What grease should I use? I have Snap-On air ratchet head grease, gun grease, Napa Sil-glide, wheel bearing grease.

I use Milwaukee's own Type A grease in both my 5300 Rotary Hammer and my 5398 Hammer Drill. I have the manuals for those drills and that's what they specify. I've also used Type A in my Millwaukee close quarter's drill and 3/8th and 1/2" drills--I don't have manuals for those drills but I figured Type A was probably ok. I know Milwaukee also makes a Type E and a Type J grease, but I don't know what they recommending those for. I do know however, Milwaukee's are built so tough a little abuse won't hurt them.
