Milwaukee "J" type grease

Hello All,

Milwaukee sells this grease in a huge can. I will only need a few table spoons at the most, so this size isn't an option. Can anyone recommend a similar, or equivalent grease to work in both a M18 and M12 impacts and where to get it?

If this is the grease for the hammer case I would feel comfortable substituting Ingersol rand impact grease

I have seen small tubes of it available online, price isn't cheap but better than the can

I haven't extensively searched for the lowest price because I've got some more power tools to work on before I get to the Milwaukee impact driver that calls for this grease. The initial price that came up for 1lb of J grease was around $30.

Funny you mentioned it being urea based, when I first opened up the gearcase, to me it smelled like a general lithium grease, but someone could've added more grease to it at some point in time.

Why do you need to use special, doesn't-mix-with-other-grease polyurea grease if you're taking the thing apart?

Clean it up, remove all the grease that doesn't play nice with others, and install DIFFERENT GREASE.

But keeping inline with prior post any polyurea I think maybe just fine John Deere markets an awesome one and any tractor store even TSC ahould have some version.

Thanks, I have some Mobil polyurea bearing grease that I bought not to long ago that I might use. In regard to grease smelling like grease, the urea base has a distinct smell that's different than a general purpose lithium grease.
