Thank you so much This makes sense I appreciate this forum Saved me a trip to a service center No whow do I disable so we move on to next issue? Not a tech guyThat type of Milwaukee blade locking mechanism for jigsaws has always had issues since when Milwaukee first introduced the design.
There was a later modification of the clamping chuck to help make sure the blades were parallel.
I have no clue whether this blade clamping mechanism will have the better or worse design.
For some stupid reason Festool used a similar design for the Carvex jigsaw chuck, and wound up with similar issues.
Sometimes you need to hold a blade parallel with the jigsaw foot to keep the blade parallel eill the chuck springs shut.
I think the issue has to do with jigsaw blade T-shanks sometimes being slightly off on standard, maybe by .001 inch, or burrs on the T-shank, or the paint coating on the blades.
Oiling the chuck usually helps a bit.Thank you so much This makes sense I appreciate this forum Saved me a trip to a service center No whow do I disable so we move on to next issue? Not a tech guy
