Is this tool new? Or have you used it for a while? It probably needs to go back to Milwaukee for warranty either way

That type of Milwaukee blade locking mechanism for jigsaws has always had issues since when Milwaukee first introduced the design.
There was a later modification of the clamping chuck to help make sure the blades were parallel.
I have no clue whether this blade clamping mechanism will have the better or worse design.
For some stupid reason Festool used a similar design for the Carvex jigsaw chuck, and wound up with similar issues.
Sometimes you need to hold a blade parallel with the jigsaw foot to keep the blade parallel eill the chuck springs shut.
I think the issue has to do with jigsaw blade T-shanks sometimes being slightly off on standard, maybe by .001 inch, or burrs on the T-shank, or the paint coating on the blades.

Oiling the chuck usually helps a bit.
