I was not planning to buy this but saw the last box on the shelf. Comes with 2 xc 5.0 batteries , charger , hammer drill and impact drill. I was shocked at the cost because right next to it they were selling the same batteries and charger for $169.99. It is fuel/brushless. I think this is a killer deal due to having 2 5.0 batteries.

It's a Gen2. Nothing to freak our about. Great deal, but 99.9% unrepeatable.

If you are going to give its own thread, I would put more details in the title. Way too many Milwaukee kits out there. There is also a Milwaukee deal thread for anything Milwaukee that doesn't need its own thread

Edit: A One-Key set may actually be easier to obtain I think. That's a smoking deal now. I've enjoyed my Gen2 One-Key drill

Should have been $125.03 or even penny at this point. Those are going on a year old.

Was it tagged with a "this item only" yellow tag?

I do apologize about the title. It isnt suppose to come with a flood light. And I dont care if it is "old stock". It works for me, thats all that matters. I dont know what the "one key" is but I am happy about the batteries and the drills being brushless.

A lot of you guys are very uninformed, but speak as fact. This is a good, new & current deal on, yes an older, kit. But it is a new clearance, most of my local stores still have six or seven in stock. Mine are still at a higher price but it will drop soon.
If this kit interests you def keep an eye out for it.

I agree. I went to HD today to buy a tape measure. And started to browsing the Milwaukee cordless Sawzall's ( they are not cheap!). an saw this by accident.

There were two kits under the same SKU, one was model 2796-22 and the other 2796-22PO I think which had the light.

Make sure the batteries take a charge. I had a bunch when I bought them last year that I had to jump from a good battery in order to get them charging again.

I am thinking of buying another set from a different HD just for the batteries and keep the tools as a backup or sell them

That’s a crazy good day deal regardless of the gen.

And he still has 5yr warranty as long as he keeps a copy of the receipt if he didn't have it e-mailed.

The give-away it's a Gen2 is the independent function selection ring on the hammer drill. On the Gem3 it's on the same ring as the clutch

Amen. Heck the batteries alone are worth more than he paid. I lucked out at the local Home Depot last year. They had a Makita 1/4 impact driver with 3 amp lithium battery, deluxe charger, hard case on clearance for $49. Brushed but still a great deal and way less than its normal $170

Well I don't have a HD very close to me but I'll be by one tomorrow evening, if they have it for that price, I'll get it. I've committed to the Bosch 12V platform but it doesn't have the power for the bigger jobs I occasionally need and my old 14.4V & 18V PowerPlus NiCad's are getting a little long in the tooth.

Great deal. One store by me is supposed to have 3 in stock, but of course I searched high and low and they’re nowhere to be found.

Congrats, that’s a legit unicorn for tool nerds. Hopefully I’ll be so lucky tomorrow, nice score!

These kits are still out there. Found one today. Someone said this is an old deal, but notice the date on sticker is only 1/25/19.

It wasn't until I think December that the 3rd Gen One-Key's were released, so it makes sense that the 2nd gen's weren't clearanced out until that time. I don't believe all Home Depot carried the One-Key's as a regular item, just larger locations.

Good luck on the search. Though, it's always Milwaukee hunting season in my book

That's a great deal. I don't know how far one-state away really is, but almost sounds like a nice Saturday drive
