What is the difference between the 2407-20, 2408-20 and the 2411-20 ?

Is there a M12 Fuel 3/8 drill ?

2407: Drill
2408: Hammer Drill
2411: Older generation of hammer drill, I think

M12 Fuel: 1/2" chucks. That's one of the differences, aside from the brushless motor, that makes the Fuel a more premium model. The M12 Fuel impacts have an added feature too - the 2 speed/torque modes, rather than just 1.

Thanks ! 2408 it is !! I want some thing lghtweight, and I don't need 1/2" (I have an excellent corded 1/2"), but I promised myself if I ever bought another drill it would be a hammer drill. (I would never be drilling a hole in concrete/brick/stone bigger than 3/8". If so I would rent a SDS.)

Good luck with it and enjoy!

The M12 hammer drill can handle 3/8" without difficulty. It's not exactly fun, but it can do it and not very slowly either. I hadn't tested it above 3/8". I believe I tested the 2411, and not the newer model.

It should be fine for occasional 1/4" and 5/16" holes, even 3/8". But the fact that you're prepped to rent an SDS for bigger projects shows you're already aware of its practical limits. For 4 3/8" holes, I'd use the M12 without hesitations. 40 holes at 1/2", yep that's SDS territory.
