Hey guys, I have an issue with a brand new M12 ratchet. I was tightening some bolts on the HF 5 drawer cart this past weekend (13mm head), and it would work and then stop and all four lights would flash at the same time. Swapped out the battery and got the same thing. Is this some kind of notice that I have hit max torque for the unit or what? I did some googling and really only found posts about a sequence of lights flashing and the online manual was of no additional assistance. What say you?

You said all 4 lights flashed but did they flash in an alternating pattern? That means it thinks the battery overheated or otherwise isn't getting a good reading off the temperature sensor in the battery pack.

Did you check the contacts inside the battery compartment? Make sure the temperature contact isn't bent away and none of the pins are oxidized/corroded/or otherwise dirty. A dash of electrical contact cleaner might be a good idea to try if you have some. Otherwise you can rub them with a pencil eraser. It could be something else but those are good first steps for any problem with a cordless tool.

Okay, awesome! Yes, the lights flashed at the same time, not a sequence. I figured all was good. Thanks guys!
