I'm not about to replace my Puma 12V for 4x4 use. You'd have to carry a couple of batteries and let it cool down to not overrun it's duty cycle.

Not for nothing, but it can't be much of a project at all to use the shell of a toasted M12 battery and hook up a nice long cigarette lighter plug to it for anyone that's concerned about the batteries not being enough to rely on.

A tiny 140 watt power plug invertor will also easily power a M12 AC charger.

Just used mine again today to fill the kid's bike tires. I was done in less time using the Milwaukee than it would've taken to just fill my compressor. Overall, a very handy tool for what it's designed for; low volume inflating. I'd say after using it a few times I'd have no problem recommending it and I think it's worth the $70 to keep around the house.
If you have M12 batteries it is a no brainer when you are getting a vehicle ready for a trip. The auto off feature is really nice because you can be checking other things. When traveling on road trips it gets packed with a full 3.0 battery just in case I need to top off a tire. In my mind it doesn't replace a full compressor, but it also keeps me from having to turn on the big compressor and worry about draining the tank just to top off a tire. For a 4x4 vehicle that gets its tires aired down I would be looking at a York setup.

Not really a gripe, but with electronics already included that let you set target pressure why didn’t they add a deflate valve so it could be used to automatically air down a tire?

The standard 4-in-1 Schrader valve tool has one end that will "chase" the external threads and one end that will "chase" the internal threads.
It turns out the slime adapter actually works. It's just that for some reason the reading of the current PSI shows a high false reading once it has been inflating for about 7 seconds, where it turns off prematurely. Once it turns off, it then shows the actual correct PSI after 2 seconds. Simply pressing the fill button again makes it continue for another 7 seconds, rinse and repeat until done.
Good to know regarding the valve tool. That doesn't come with the m12 inflator, correct?

That sounds very odd, but sometimes vibration or a loose connection on the valve stem can cause erratic behavior.
Curious does it zero out correctly when its not attached to the tire or does it show a psi reading. If it does the manual explains how to reset that.
I also have the slime locking adapter. A very handy and inexpensive improvement for the M12 inflator

My 20v will cycle once on small things (ie football, ZTR front tires) where it's inflating so fast it cuts off in order to not overfill, but then is actually a smidge short. It only does it once, though.
I am really enjoying my inflator.
I filled the tires on all the trucks, trailers, tractors, wagon, 2 wheeler, while attending to other chores. If the battery gets low, put it in the charger and come back in a bit and get going again.

What I really like the most about this inflator is that I don't need a cigarette lighter (I call it that too, young people call it 12V power source or some such) to use it.
A couple of weekends ago our daughter hosted a bachlorette party at our house down in the country. A bunch of people. Even though I have 7 beds set up, there were a bunch of inflatable mattresses deployed. I let my daughter use the inflator inside the house and the young people were all amazed.
Maybe some new Milwaukee tool addictions were planted?
It made a big difference to not have to drag the mattresses out in the driveway to find a cigarette lighter.
With a fully charged 6.0 battery, I carry it in the back of the truck for roadside emergencies.

That's all I use mine with. It will go through them quickly if you expect this inflator to be used for high volume jobs.
I've used both my older compact 1.5s and newer 2.0s but I haven't filled an empty tire with it. I use it for top offs and after off roading. I usually air down to 20psi then refill to 35.
I think it works great and much more convenient than hooking up my 12V inflator to the truck battery.
So I assume it would be awesome with the 3.0.

So my inflator kicked the bucket while trying to top off my truck tires to north of 80psi in 110° weather. I wasn't too disappointed at it was asking a lot of the tool. The good news is Milwaukee's online warranty portal was super easy to use. I printed off the return label, dropped it in the mail on 08/05, and had a brand new unit back in my possession on 08/21. Not bad considering they didn't even get the inflator until 08/10 and all of the delays and challenges put forth by COVID. Once received they shipped out the replacement 7 days later.
Once I had a lithium battery all of my C2 tools improved, inflator currently lives in trunk of wife's car, easy to hate TPMS and/or leaky tires that show no leaks when tanked.
All air compressors share the same problem, compressing air makes things HOT. Unless the whole air pressured air path has some way to dissipate heat, like being made of metal instead of plastic, having a fan, etc. most will croak.
