Milwaukee M12 drill brake smoked

Wasn't paying attention, water got in my drill, grabbed it and pulled the trigger, smelled electrical burn and now the brake doesn't work when you let off the trigger, it just freewheels to a stop. A phone call to the service center netted me a, "20 dollar tear down fee and we'll call you with a cost of repair and have a week turnaround after the part is ordered."
The drill is not 2 years old but don't think it would be covered under manufacture warranty. Found the parts breakdown on Milwaukee website but don't know which part is needed, any ideas?

Just like cell-phones....you get them wet, no more warranty.

I'd just go with one of the newer FUEL models....max power & a 5 year warranty. The 2404 is the M12 FUEL hammer drill....I have held one & it is very nice.
