Milwaukee M12 LED Flashlite

I have the M-12 49-24-0146 led flashlight works great love it!..

Was at HD today and noticed the new version, the handle is larger and the alloy housing is bigger along with the switch is now on the lens side. Has anyone compared them. HD has both styles in stock for $39.00 before I get another one for home use was wondering wich one to get?

I just looked at the new version on the Milwaukee website.

I have the original M12 LED one myself and like it. I'd also like to hear from someone that has compared the two. Light output, weight, size, etc.

I'm a confirmed M12 junky and now may have to go check this new light out. I do not have any of their lights.

update.. had to buy the new style light. Same model number. Not much has changed except it's larger, If size matters the little guy is the same.

I did compare them in the break room. Now before any one says the 2014 is better and brighter, The 2008 has been through daily use, dropped many times, even in a pan of trans fluid. The switch has been replaced, and the rubber coating long ago melted away. I use this light every hour every working day. It still works like a champ!

I'm going to retire the '08 for home use. Only complaint is, the new version should have the battery charge led's.

Check the pics.. not much of a difference.

Thanks for the comparison. Which is which?
Left ones beam pattern is smoother.

Left side is the new one. The old one the lens is scratched and dirty.
