Milwaukee M18 4.0 amh Batteries?

Hi i wanted to know if i only use some of my cordless tools in the summer for decks and stuff, do i need to use the batteries in the winter at all or keep them at full charge once a month, or should they still have long service life without all that? I have a brand new pack in the package should i charge it?

Don't charge the battery until you use it. Lithium-ions do not like being stored full. This is also why you see a partial charge (2 our of 4 bars) straight out of the package. For long term storage, keep them around 50%. In a couple of months, I'm sure you'll still see 2 out of 4 bars since lithium-ions do not self-discharge as quickly as nicad.
