Milwaukee M18 dual battery

Does anyone know of a source for an adapter to add a second battery to a M18 tool?
I was hoping to find an adapter that plugs into the standard battery slot, and splits off, that two batteries could plug into.
Something similar to the new M18 leaf blower that has two battery slots side by side would be perfect.
I have the adapter that is used to power kids toy cars with a Milwaukee M18 battery, but was hoping to find a plug and play solution.

Are you trying to switch between two batteries or use both batteries simultaneously?

My first mental thought was something like this, except for M18 batteries....

I was hoping to have them in parallel, using both simultaneously. Just like the Milwaukee Dual Battery leaf blower 2824-20

Parallel? That sounds like it will have to be custom. I would guess this would destroy a tool designed for 18volts. Sounds like a fun experiment though. What are you trying to power?

To be clear, the M18x2 stuff has the packs wired in series to get 36v.

DerekV, all, I am looking to increase run time - not change the voltage (thank you for the clarification). The look of the dual battery leaf blower, but keep 18 volts, batteries in parallel, not series.
I will share that when my kids were little, I did put Milwaukee 18 volt 12.0 amp batteries in their battery powered cars. My sons tractor with rubber tires would wheelie. He still talks about how awesome it was.

There isn’t an off the shelf option. You’d have to DIY. Not sure how any of the feedback circuitry (i.e. temp) would work as there’d be two packs talking to the tool at the same time, but the +/- part of paralleled packs…tool wouldn’t know the difference.

I totally prefer my 3 or 5/6 for most things . The less weight , the better IMO

I have the dual battery blower . It’s fine for what I need it for but who wants all that extra weight. Stationary items like a vac or light. Sure throw on a 9:12.

The guy from the Torque Test Channel did something like this for his little girls car. The best part of the video is when she told her daddy that "I want to go faster." You've got to break these kids in the right way.

They make M18 bases so I would think just get two of those and wire them together. But never did it so don't know for sure. Are you going to keep things at 18V? Assuming the car is 12V motors?

I did this for my sons power wheels Jeep when he was about 5. He was kind of luke warm about the Jeep prior to the conversion. Now he is 9 and can barely fit in it but still doesn’t want to let it go.

Yea, I need to buy a 12 amp battery for my chainsaw and blower since they discontinued the 9 amp. I don’t think the 8 will do it.
Just waiting on a sale. $260 is a tough pill to swallow.

Basically, the larger Makita tools have this functionality, but in series so the voltage doubles and capacity stays the same. You'd need to wire them parallel (like for charging a car battery, + to +, - to -) to keep the same voltage, right?
