My M18, 1/2" impact wrench has stopped working . When you pull the trigger, the white Led , light just flashes. It was working fine , then just stopped. Tried a fully charged battery into it, but that made no difference. It is 5 years old and used in work as an Agricultural mechanic . Does anyone know, what the flashing light means?

Does the tool say One Key on it. Does it have a small blue led on the tool? If so it needs to communicate with the smart phone that set it up.

That should be a flash code. How many flashes are you getting when you pull the trigger? Should be a certain number, pause, and more flashes. That'll help narrow down what going on. A common culprit is the temp sensor, often because of a bad terminal contact between the tool and the battery. Since you tried another battery, check the tool side out...but double check the batteries too just in case.

As an FYI, the battery/charger can (read as should) also flash codes if there's an issue on that end.
