Milwaukee M18 question

I’ve been out of the tool discussion loop for a while. Is the new M18 Forge battery a game changer? I have so many batteries right now and don’t need another but I can also offload most of my current stock if the Forge is awesome enough.

I have the HO 3.0 bats I use daily on grinders, mostly for balance while using them. I have bigger HO bats for impacts and saws. I have loads of XC 4.0 and 5.0 bats that get used mainly on lights, radios, and my usb chargers.

Is there anywhere in this lineup that I would be gobstruck by the Forge?

I have watched and enjoyed a few videos from this channel but I haven’t really delved into their catalog. This clip goes a long way to answer my questions and even show a few features I hadn’t thought about.

If the Forge is on par with the M18 12.0 for output, I think I’ll plan on adding a few to my sets as I age out or sell my older batteries.

Short answer. YES. If you buy any other M18 battery, other than the 3.0 CP which is good for smaller tools, the FORGE IS THE ONLY BATTERY YOU SHOULD BUY FROM MILWAUKEE. They sell the old 5.0 for $150 and the Forge is $200. For $50 more you get a lot more particularly if you have a first or second generation Supercharger which can fully charge the Forge in 20 minutes. I have two of the Forge batteries and a Gen 1 Supercharger. It is literally impossible to bring down the 6.0 Forge in any Milwaukee tool in less that 20 minutes at which time you have a fully charged Forge coming off of the charger. You can do this all day every day. You're nuts if you don't go with the FORGE considering the price and the amount of power it can deliver.
