Looking at the drill driver combo is the fuel that much better? If it was impact I would do the fuel. What is better

Fuel=brushless, m18=brushed. If you need real power and runtime, then get fuel. If you dont or are on a budget, grab the m18s.

Keep in mind Milwaukee has added a mid range level of tool that is brushless but not as high end as fuel.

I went with the regular ones awhile back. The fuel version of the impact driver is only 100 inch pounds less than the non fuel driver. BUT the drill, the drill leaves alot to be desired. Ive been eyeing the fuel drill for awhile because the compact drill lacks power imho. I had to do it all over-id just buy the fuel versions, but I did score the non fuel version for $220 on sale vs the fuel stuff that goes for I recall about 399.

your best bet, since there is a 3 tier choice now, fuel, non fuel, and brushless, - is to head over to milwaukee's website and just compare torque specs and see how much of a difference there is.... i have both.. the fuel at home, non fuel kit at work.. they are both great and you will be happy with either..

if your intentions are just for driving screws, the non fuel will be fine.. if you think you might want to do some bigger stuff like lags, maybe the fuel is worth it.. idi imagine the brushless specs are right in the middle.. i didnt need the fuel stuff for home, i just decided i wanted it and thats what i went with..

Fuel will have higher torque and way better run time. If you just need a tool that works and will last just buy the m18 stuff. If you want a better tool that will require less down time with battery charges and more power go with the fuel.
