Who's actually using the new impacts and actually setting up your presets.

I could potentially see this for a plumber who may run 2 different settings for no hub . Yes, I believe the new drivers is a smigen smaller and smigen more powerful as well..

I just want to drive some screws ;-)
Dunno if I want that ~extra~ layer of a complexity/circuitry in a drill IMO

I have to start by saying I've never used the system, but I have a hard time imagining how practical it would be to control a tool from your phone while you're using it. How is that supposed to work?

Yeah, but using my phone takes two hands. Using my tools usually does, too.

Umm.. You don't use it at the same time.. Being brushless, EVERYTHING in those tools are controlled digitally. They just allowed you to make your own preset setting..

Personally, I think it's a waste - I think a better option would be to allow people to disable their tools - buy only allowing them to work with certain batteries using the one-key app.. That might even be a thing u can do, I have no idea.

I looked at it, and thought it'd be pretty cool for some applications at work, but not enough for me to pony up the price increase from the standard fuel line of tools.

I really want the Fuel One Key 3/8" impact. It must be awesome to deside the four presets, and have the torque you need for different fasteners. Also when tightening. But I have to wait some time for it to come out in Norway. Wish there was a way to really figure out the torque, not like from 1-10, but the actual output in nm or ft.lbs.

This is what I was missing. I found this on another site:

Update: Something I should have pointed out is that changes to a One-Key power tool’s settings or modes are done on the app and then uploaded to the tool.

Your phone doesn’t need to be in constant connection with the tool. It’s set-and-forget, unless you want to change or tweak overall settings or those of the selectable modes.

I'm using it on my Inkzalls. It's really convenient to check how much is left in my markers before setting out for the day. I don't typically mess with the flow rate though. That's really for professional marker users in a factory setting and not a hobbiest like myself.

I'm just kidding... There's no Windows Phone OneKey+ app.

To me this just sounds like one more thing to break and render the tool useless. Hopefully the circuitry is built rugged and water resistant.
My Hackzall is currently dead because while cutting a drain pipe with it a small dribble of water came out and got on the trigger switch and stopped it dead in its tracks and ruined the switch.
