I'm thinking about picking on up tomorrow. I've been considering mods as well, mainly a way to mount my M12 Rocket light to it, maybe a conduit bender and a set of fish rods. I'm also thinking about how I could add a little flip up table surface to the handle, just for holding a couple tools or little fittings.

On Instagram, a few guys have changed their's up a bit. Kruger Construction shortened the handle (or made it removable, I forget) to fit under his tonneau cover. Just Build It (Colt Reeves) modded his handle to attach his M12/M18 speaker to the handle. There's some others too.

My biggest concern is how it'll do on stairs.

I think how it does on stairs will depend all on your strength and what's loaded in it.

I've heard the large wheels help and the back functions as sort of a skid plate. I guess I'll see tomorrow or whenever I get it.

I was scanning YouTube, and this guy had a pretty neat mod to add a cord and USB outlet for charging batteries, phone, USB devices, etc.

Norhing I've done, yet, but here are some or the thoughts from the voices in my head . Probably will need to get a hold a 3D printer, but would be cool to make Packout bases for the fan and whatever your preferred speaker is. I wouldn't mind a nice comfy high-back seat some days, plus swivel.

If that metal hook could extend out and was beefier, you could haul a couple sheet goods on it, though very limited maneuverability.

This would never get OSHA approved, but a scaffolding piece that could attach to 2 sets of Packouts.

No idea where I'd begin, but an alarm running to a dead-mans switch triggered when the stack is tilted back.

Similar to the job-clamp device, something to secure material for cutting. Light weight vises if you will.

I got tired of household repairs where I had to piecemeal tools from various tool boxes and from my garage shop so I got a Packout. It is loaded with tools which allow me to do everything from hanging pictures to installing a shower door. Also has a 15" tote on top with drill/driver/screwdriver and bits. Works out great for me and saves lots of footwork--just roll it from the spare bedroom to the job location and get to work. The top box serves as a worktable. When I add my rocket light the traveling road show is complete.

I have over 40 packout pieces, 2 stacks in the house and 3 stacks in the garage. Told the wife the other day, whats the difference between my packout stacks in the house versus those cheap roller plastic bin drawer things lol

The best part of the new slim organizers is it comes with 6/12 wall cup dividers you can customize. Wish the full size ones had that feature.

Who made the sheetmetal brackets on here to make the "original" organizers clip in? It was great work.

When I was at the NECA trade show in September, we were right next to the Milwaukee booth. I talked to the rep with the packout stuff and he said they were coming out with base plates you could just attach to whatever. Probably expect them first of the year.

I have two stacks in the van. No matter how I stack them it always seem I need something from the one two cases down. It’s still better than all the different boxes I used to have.

I just watched a video on new Dewalt Toughstuff organizer pieces yesterday. One is a 2 drawer organizer that doesn't need contents above removed. I'd buy a Packout version in a heartbeat.

Just got my Packout home tonight, along with a low profile organizer. I haven't loaded it up but I was already looking over ways to mod it. Definitely want a way to mount my M12 Rocket light somehow. I started welding up some brackets to hang a small table surface from the top of the handle so the top box is still accessible.

I've been wanting a reason to get a 3D printer, and I've had a lot of ideas building up lately. Being able to print custom brackets for other tools and bags to attach to the Packout might be the nudge I need to get one.
