Anybody here using the Milwaukee Packout wall system?

If so, what's your general thoughts on it? Well made, sturdy, etc.?

For those of you who might be using it, have a figured out a good mount to hang their Rocket Light tower off of it? I know that have the "Long Handle Tool Rack" that might work if I didn't want to completely fold up the light stand but was hoping for something to hold it completely compacted.

Thanks

I was looking at it at the store yesterday, and it looks cool, but the price for all the accessories I would need really added up fast. Judging by the responce your getting, I'll buy it on clearance after it gets discontinued.

I haven’t used it but have been looking into it for a few days and think I’ll likely be getting a couple of panels for my garage; I need to sort out my overall plan, though because I hate semi-random organizing and changing it later because of poor planning (which I have done many times :ROFLMAO:). The systems seem to get a lot of positive feedback on Youtube and a few other places and appear sturdy (metal reinforced frames, overall very good reputation for Packout plastic durability). I think the likelihood of it being discontinued is very low—yes it’s expensive, but that simply means that it’s not for everyone (some guys here do amazing things with organization and are very good at crafting custom solutions). That being said, I haven’t ever seen one with the Rocket Light hanging off it. I’ll search Pinterest to see if I find anything and will post back if I do. (Pinterest has some very good images of Packout systems and add-ons for mounting tools, etc. and Etsy sells a lot of those, too).

Thanks I'm getting some Milwaukee packout wall components for Christmas so I'll be able to play around with it some and see how much I like it before investing more money into the system. Looks like I will probably have to find a different solution for the rocket light which isn't a big deal. Just would have been nice to have an all inclusive option.

If I like it, I thinking I will probably have 3 different setups. 1 for my garage, 1 for my WW'ing shop and 1 for my utility room.

Sounds nice! I’m going to pick-up some more items for another stack for my garage tonight. I got the rolling toolbox combo at Fleet Farm here on Black Friday (came with a medium organizer for “free”). I already have the small parts organizers for my screws, bolts, electrical parts, etc in a cabinet and like that system a lot. Trying to resist getting to carried away for the bigger tool boxes but am using those now under a work bench to hold wood working hand tools and a few other things. It’s an addictive system with all of the options.5B32B178-BEF9-442B-AE3F-F3A1307DAF4B.jpeg

It’s pretty expensive for shop storage but really a great system if you need a mobile solution. It’s not going away anytime soon. Just because one one thread on garage journal doesn’t get a lot of hits, it doesn’t mean it’s a bust. I bet Milwaukee is doing well with it.
