No way, not on CL. That's what pawn shops are for!

Are these genuine Milwaukee batteries sold by a rouge reseller? Supposedly Amazon is not an authorized Milwaukee reseller, but I'm tempted to buy and compare to the current ones I have from Home Depot.

They're genuine Milwaukee. I just bought one of their weedeaters from HD. It came with an 8.0, and the two I ordered are identical to it. I avoid off-brand like the plague. Are these genuine Milwaukee batteries sold by a rouge reseller? Unfortunately most SBotD don't separate the tool from battery for those promotions. If you guys don't need it immediately I would try holding off for the $10/ah package deals where you can get the battery and tool for rock bottom pricing. Seeing HD do more Milwaukee special buys of the day which may be a good sign...
On clearance at select HDs for $840. A bit more than I got mine for last fall. The mower? lol man, I don't think we will see any deals on those for a while. I was hoping they would offer a bare tool eventually but I don't know if that will happen either.
I've never had good luck getting in on clearance deals for tools I actually want. I think I've scored 1 in the last 4 years lolUnfortunately most SBotD don't separate the tool from battery for those promotions.

I don't have the facebooks because social media is the actual devil. I don't trust Craigslist stuff to not be stolen.

I skipped all the social media except linkedin until I took my current position three years ago. There are a couple industry specific facebook groups in my area I was instructed I need to engage with, so I created a work only login that is the name of my employer and my initials. I don’t engage any farther than those specific groups or marketplace for the classifieds. The account uses my work phone and work email. I’ve found some decent Milwaukee deals on marketplace.I don't do Facebook for a variety of reasons, but isn't GJ a form of social media?
I'm careful with CL. Definitely won't buy anything new there. Typically only buy used lawn equipment, and have a gamut of questions that I ask to ascertain legitimacy. Not foolproof, of course...

Do you see the irony in this postI don't have the facebooks because social media is the actual devil. I don't trust Craigslist stuff to not be stolen.
Nearly every Milwaukee tool I've purchased (and that's a lot) has been from Home Depot Special Deals of the Day. With the exception of some really specialized things (maybe the nibbler?) everything eventually comes up on there at a pretty good discount.GJ is a forum, I've never counted forums as part of social media. I can see where people would consider forums part of social media but I think there are some very clear distinctions between the two.
HD special buy has a tiny selection of Milwaukee stuff today, nothing interesting that I could see.
Honestly it's a great deal on the M12 right angle die grinder. It's $116.52 after returning the batteries. If I didn't already have one I'd be all over this. I paid $135.Need some help deciding on this deal, please.
Home Depot has the M12 starter kit with a 5.0 HO and a 2.5 HO and a charger for 249 get a free tool. With a right angle die grinder the price for the batteries comes out to about $133 if returning the die grinder. Decent or should I wait for something elde?
Thanks
Ron
Check out Safety Source supply if you are looking for batteries. I've ordered batteries from here with no issues. Seems to be about the cheapest I can find and they seem to always be this price. https://safetysourcesupply.com/Need some help deciding on this deal, please.

$10/Ah is the gold standard for a good deal on Milwaukee batteries and the HO batteries have usually been a bit more than that, so I'd say given this is pricing from a retail outlet, $39 and $79 is really pretty good.In my mind, that seems high for M12 (vs M18) batteries. Am I nuts?

Just checked out that site, Amazon is cheaper.Check out Safety Source supply if you are looking for batteries. I've ordered batteries from here with no issues. Seems to be about the cheapest I can find and they seem to always be this price. https://safetysourcesupply.com/

Yep, looks like Amazon has come down since I ordered. Always best to cross shop though.Just checked out that site, Amazon is cheaper.
Gents, thank you for the quick replies last week. I went ahead and ordered a pair of 8.0 batteries with the prepurchase reassurance I was looking for. I own a pair of 8.0s that I use in the dual battery blower and string trimmer I purchased on one of the Home Depot deals in the spring. Having 4 8.0s gives me a balanced set to use with my 2845-20 Carry-on 3600W/1800W Power Supply. Thanks again! There are non-genuine batteries sold on Amazon, but the ones from this link has been for real Milwaukee batteries (if you dont get them, no worry return with Amazon). For some, the issue will be they are being sold from a non-authorized retailer, doesn't matter if it is Amazon selling or a 3rd party like these are. So the warranty starts from the manufacturing date versus the sell by date (if bought authorized).
Other than if you have older, heavy used batteries, they will be the same as you currently have. They're genuine Milwaukee. I just bought one of their weedeaters from HD. It came with an 8.0, and the two I ordered are identical to it. I avoid off-brand like the plague.

Decent deal on the grinder with 2x6.0s at $229.
Also installation tool with 2 batteries and 3/8 ratchet @ 179 seems like a good deal.
Air tips also are going on sale for $7.50 each which is the cheapest I have seen. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...t-Kit-2-Piece-49-90-2035-49-90-2023/320174158
$15/2Dang I'm Dutch, where are you seeing $7.50?
