You can buy the 2904-20 for about $135 on sale and the old 5ah batteries are nothing special, but the package is still a fair deal since you get a charger, box, drill and 3 batteries

Gotcha, like I said, I don't even have a use for it, LOL.

One annoying thing in the deals is that they're mixing up Fuel and non-Fuel. As in, buy a Fuel kit, but the "free" tool is non-Fuel. I know that isn't a new trick but is irritating nonetheless.

Milwaukee M12 XC HO 5.0 and 2.5 with charger for $99 at Home Depot is back. I like these better than the 6.0 ones.

Edit: n/m cancelled my order.
Just bought me one. Weird that expected delivery won't be until 7 days from now. Usually any HD online orders get delivered the next day for me. This one says $9 for next day. Hope this is not the new normal.

You have to select “get this item free” by choosing “shop this offer” and then 2 items show up in the cart for $299 along with their respective separate values and you can then return 1 of the items

Is there anything you need to do to return part of the order and get the bare tool at a discount?

I realize you need to place the order with 2 separate SKUs, but can you just tell them you’d like to return the batteries and show them the order number?

I just get the free delivery, and then swing by HD on my way home from work and return whatever item it is I don't want. Picking it up at the store and immediately trying to return one of the items often confuses people so I just save them and myself the headache.

But no there is nothing special required.

32 Ah of batteries and a charger for $329.

I also think this M12 screwdriver is a decent deal, my most used M12 tool.

I love the M12 and M18 tools that I have. My M12 angle grinder is my new "go to" for so many jobs !

But I and starting to get ANNOYED with the RIDICULOUS prices that Milwaukee charges for batteries and chargers. The "bill of material" for those items, in volume, is less than $100. Probably closer to $50. Even at retail, minus the plastic housing, we are still well under $200 !

Overseas labor for all of that is another $10-$20.

Milwaukee is turning into a drug dealer. Get 'em hooked and make the real money when they come back for more !

Maybe Tyrone can come and discuss your Milwaukee addiction.

Am still waiting for good counterfeit M18 batteries if anyone knows any. Until then I am willing to pay $10 per amp hour which is still probably expensive relative to other brands, ie Ryobi that is owned by the same parent company.

$10 per AH for M18 is getting very difficult to find, without having to return or sell tools, chargers and/or bags.

I'm happy with my M18 stuff so far. Would I be as happy with Ryobi? Maybe (probably?), but I'm not willing to support multiple battery platforms.

I have some Ryobi tools and I can tell you that MOST of them are noticeable step down in quality from Milwaukee. I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford the Milwaukee tax but I'm also cheap and make sure I get a deal on anything I buy unless I absolutely need it right then. I don't mind returning parts of a package deal to home depot to get the price down on the stuff I need.

Some decent deals on Home Depot's "Special Buys of the Day" today. Quite a few M12 tools (the nibbler, detail sander, compact bandsaw, planer, soldering iron, straight and RA die grinder). Lot of bare tools which is nice, but some battery bundles as well.

The 6 gallon shop vac for $115 after battery return is a solid buy. I keep finding more and more uses for the shop vac where I couldn’t or wouldn’t use a corded one.

Grabbing a 5.0/belt sander combo. Been waiting for that to go on sale for a while, missed the last one.

Is the 8.0 w/ free tool showing up for anyone else? I'm not seeing the free tool option for the 8.0.
