I’ve been trying to find a way into M12’s for the ratchet. From what I can tell the ratchet alone is $149. If correct, it’s a heck of a buy at $199

Hard to value it at $149, when it was $99 for the longest time. Still a great tool, but should be able to find it for $100 on Amazon or something, but much better value getting it in the bundle like this.

If you were to buy the M12 Kit in store at $229, and choose the ratchet, it would be ~$140 for kit, ~$90 for the ratchet, however as you mentioned getting into M12, you still need the batteries, so I'd go the $199 bundle route, sell what you don't need

The 2967 + 5.0 from special buys is a good deal at $250

$100+ for a 3.0 HO and a charger seems expensive though.

I agree. I want that 2967, but I would have to buy a charger.
I don't have any M18 tools currently, I went back to M12 last year.

If I use my HD card, I can get no interest and like 10% off for $299 and over.
The savings add to make the deal even better, but spending $80+ for just a charger by itself also seems stupid.

I've had 1 response. Obviously not buying a charger until/unless I buy the tool.

Anyone have a spare Milwaukee M18 battery charger? (prefer new/unused) Prefer someone local, but shipping can be arranged if needed. Let me know what you have and what you want for it. Looking for a cheaper option, instead of paying full retail to power 1 tool.

The Ridgid looks like a good value to me. I like the lifetime warranty. I think it will do everything the DIYer needs to do. I am all in on Milwaukee because they have good quality, a good variety that has all the tools I need and sharing batteries on one platform helps simply life. I had all Ridgid 18V nicad years ago and liked them.

I will NEVER buy another Rigid battery tool because there is zero customer service when they fail….. I had two drills fail over the years and I got a "run around" about the warranty.
Spend a little more and buy Milwaukee……… You will thank me later.

BTW! I love the M18 tools and also have the M12 tools.

Same experience I had. Only support at authorized service centers, but despite several tool service centers locally the only ones that would handle ridgid were over 4 hours away... and they gave me the run around. Never again!

This has all changed in the last year. Now they have the Ridgid Service Direct Program. Supposed to be WAY better, but I've never had to use it.

I had a defective Ridgid drill hanging out and I went to the ^ link, submitted a claim and sent it to the repair shop via FedX…….. They sent me a prepaid shipping label too.

I think I've seen the nibbler in other package deals with other tools but it was stuff I already had. I think this is the best price I've seen on it. I want it, but I RARELY work with sheet metal....

Oddly enough, some of the prices don't change from what they currently already are, but there also some deals to be had.

For example, the two M18 batters + charger for example is currently $400 but flyer shows $200. I'm definitely waiting for this to go live.
But they also show an M18 1/2" impact kit for $400 with an impact, battery, charger and bag for $400 on the flyer even though it's already $400. If you don't want the bag, right now you could by the impact w/ battery promo and a charger separately for a little below $400.

Do you guys think the m18 compressor would be useful to seat the bead on motorcycle tires? I have a regular plug in compressor but I've been using the m12 inflator for almost everything these days. I'd like something portable/easy to use to seat beads on the tires I mount. The M12 inflator takes forever and certainly doesn't have that instant bang you want when seating a bead. Is the M18 compressor up to the task or should I just whip out my old plug in compressor?

I'd say, 'no'.

I have the M18 and use it to inflate my semi/trailer tires. It gets the job done (slowly) to 115+ (maybe up to 120) psi but you'll never get a bead seating blast. I've never tried bike/motorbike tires, though.

Edit: I know this isn't your queried application. I have a locking chuck, set the required PSI and walk away while it does its thing. For anything more than car tires you'll want 8 or 12 hour batteries on hand.

I could be wrong but I think you would need a compressor with an air storage tank to give you that quick "big blast" of air to bead a tire.
You could use the compressor to fill a portable air storage tank And keep the tank tucked away until you need to bead a tire.

BTW! I have "seen" a few guys use a few blasts of e***r to bead ATV, Tractor tires but it is very dangerous.

If a 2 gallon 135psi compressor will seat the bead, the M18 compressor will — that is what it is.
