Looks like that M18 hatchet is finally going to be on sale!

That's the same price I paid for my M12 hatchet.

I kinda still have my eye on the M18 top-handle saw. I've been wanting it since it came out, but I already have the M18 chainsaw and the M12 hatchet...so I've been hesitant to spend the money on it.

Damn, the time to buy that wa this weekend. The price dropped to $299 + 8ah HO.

New quarter of deals just went live in the website, and last quarters ended.
We're a few glitches that got patched up.

I almost always miss the best deals but I get a lot of the good ones. I skipped the M12 hatchet after doing a lot of research. I just decided he M18 version would be the one for me but I did almost jump on an M12 a few times. If the new deals are live now, maybe I'll get that hatchet ordered today.

I love my M12 hatchet. It will keep cutting through oak with the bar buried. I'm pretty impressed with it, and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again. The M18 might be more than one hand wants to handle, but for the same price, I think I would go with the M18 too. Throw a 12-14" bar and the 12.0 battery on it and hang on!

So the new promo/deal for the forge battery is live here on the HD website:

I'm ordering that M18 hatchet like, NOW.

Other items I'm considering are the M18 compressor and the M18 super sawzall.

I haven't tracked prices on these so #1 is this a good deal on those? And #2 is the super sawzall good? I know my 90s era plug in super sawzall is an absolute beast. Is this worth it cordless or does the battery hanging off the *** end of it make it unwieldy?

You will love it!
Against my better judgment I ended up buying the 14 inch top handle today. Came with an XC 8.0 for $319

The deal isn't dead but the website is broken right now. Homedepot online support knows about it. Just check back on the website in the morning or afternoons to see if its fixed. In store might be an option if they have everything in stock. They might right now since the promo just started but then again that is putting a lot of faith in the MET crew.

Yes lowest price I have seen when factoring in the battery @ $80.

While I was originally interest in the m18 hatchet. Its at $220 when factoring in the 6.0 battery at $60. The pricing on hatchet was a little too close to the top handle at $240ish which is more machine with more RPM and a brake. If the 14 inch is too much, I can put a shorter bar on it I figure and maybe better compliment the 16 incher M18 rear handle I have.

Yes it is a good deal and I have one. I got this for quick cuts and it cuts just as fast as my small 14” Stihl gas saw.……. You will love it!
Simple to use…… Just grab it and start cutting without starting issues and noise.
Basically the battery will last almost as long as a tank of gas as long as the chain is sharp. I still have my Stihl 026 and MS gas saws because I have big trees to cut along with hours of cutting.

TIP! An extra M18 battery and extra chain with a file is a must have to add to the deal.……. The carrying case is a nice option but not necessary. The case has enough space for oil, charger and battery.

Does the 14" saw deal qualify for the battery return? I've never taken advantage of this and not sure how to calculate? Thanks

Top handle saw on deal of the day

Thanks for that! I saw your post right before I went to work, and almost forgot about it! Luckily I was able to snag one with a couple hours left!

M12 Right Angle Die Grinder w/ XC 4 battery and charger $159 USD at Home Depot (not a bad deal) [Link]
Add in Free Gift of CP 2.5 battery (better deal).
In my cart it shows: M12 Die Grinder w/ XC 4.0 and charger for $106.22 and a separate line item for the CP 2.5 battery at $52.78
YMMV
