Does this new packout m18 fan go on sale? Anyone seen a sale yet or is it listed in the upcoming Black Friday sales? Just got into m18 and really want this fan.

also thinking about the packout m18 shopvac if anyone seen that on a good sale. And the new m18 rover light.

Factory Authorized Outlet's eBay store often runs 20% off promos, I've seen the fan be eligible for those. They're not running one now, but I'd guess there will be another this month.

Home Depot includes vac kits / bundles in their daily special buys a lot.

What’s so special about Forge? I am just starting out with Milwaukee and most of mine are Fuel, probably doesn’t matter since it’s just a hobbiest garage. If I gonna start buying batteries….which to get?

Not really the place to ask. There is a Milwaukee Tool addiction thread where this would be more appropriate.

But to sum it up, the cells in the Forge allow for higher discharge rate (more power), faster charge times, and a higher charge cycle count.
Many 8/12 High Output batteries, have suffered from issues regarding cell balancing during charging, beinging an earlier demise to the battery. Milwaukee is replacing/discontinuing the HO lineup, with Forge batteries (with the exception of the 3ah HO).
There really isn't a reason to get the older battery, unless it's an amazing deal.

If you have follow up questions, here is the tool thread

Man, I missed a hole bunch of emails. I didn't get my notification emails from GJ. Oh well. Other than maybe some 4 drawer packouts, I think I'm not on the hunt for anything right now.

What’s the best deal you can get on M12 batteries? I only have the stock 2.0 CP. I’d like a high output 5.0 XC. Are there Black Friday deals that typically come up on Amazon, Hoke Depot or elsewhere?

I see the single XC5.0 now on Amazon for $53. Does it get any better than that?

Edited thanks to @2manytools to correct me

About 10 dollar per amp is best deal. Except the forge I saw maybe 12 dollar per amp being cheapest.

don’t buy batteries on Amazon under any circumstance there prob fake and even if not they have no warranty

$10* per amp. You're partially correct. There are plenty of genuine batteries on Amazon, and you do have some warranty based on the manufacturing date, which is going to be the questionable part buying off Amazon. Every battery you buy is several months old already, but buying third party makes it tha much worse from a slow seller.

Some of the he first Forge 12 ah batteries to arrive for me, are dated all the way back to January. So that is 10 months lost not buying from an official retailer. Though these new ones are supposed to to correct the issues that caused people to need to warranty 8/12 HO so much.... hopefully.

M12 5ah HO regularly sell for $70-75 from legitimate sellers around me via Marketplace, and $50 from the 5-finger discount peddler

The M12 tools are less expensive than the M18 tools, so wouldn't it make sense for the batteries to follow that logic?

In other words, if $10 / AH is a good price for M18 batteries, shouldn't the M12s cost less than that?

sadly the M12 batteries are basically being sold at a premium so I tend to apply the same 10 per amp hour rule of thumb for the genuine Milwaukee batteries tossed in with packages. Also the m12 lacks the onboard BMS that the M18 has to add insult to injury.

I have had good luck with m12 knocks off of Amazon (no luck with M18's). I think it comes under $5 per amp hour for 4 batteries from Powerextra which is a lot cheaper when you want to keep several m12 tools loaded and ready to go.

I do wish there was more stability in the knockoff suppliers. I don't know if they go out of business or Milwaukee shuts them down, but once I get comfortable enough with a knock off brand they seem to disappear.

Cordless inflator back down to $100 if factoring in two 5.0s at $10 per amp hour.

If you add the M18 XC starter kit to the cart first you can select the inflator as the free item. That way you can return the batts and be into the inflator for about $95 plus tax.

Some stuff on HD special buy of the day today. I think someone was looking for a deal on a band saw recently? Good deal on one today with a Forge battery.

Toolnut has a seemingly good price on the Milwaukee M12 5.0 battery.

2 pack for $129 shipping is free for ground shipping.

I did that yesterday and it wanted $199 vs $179 buying the "kit"

Why would you return the batteries?

I bought it mostly for the batteries. Giving the pump to my Dad for Christmas.

HD Special Buy has a bunch of team red today:
The under hood light is on sale with a battery, this item doesn't often go on sale so if you've been waiting for one, now is the time to snag it. I've already got 2 so I'm not buying another one but its a good deal with the battery.

Both M12 die grinders are on sale. Another interesting deal with the m18 mid torque impact with the polisher and 2 batteries. I sure don't need it but seems like a good deal if you need both tools.

Thanks! I hadn’t caught that. I’ve got one on the way right now so let me see if HD will give me the credit for the difference

Thanks got me. Ordered the m12 grease gun with free battery for $100. Doesn't appear to be a glitch so hopefully I get it this time.

This M12 screwdriver kit for $60 is my most used tool around the house and tied with the stubby impact for the shop. I have two of them.

I REALLY want the stubby impact, but I don't need it.

But I REALLY want it. 😐

That is very tempting, I might just jump on that little guy. I wasn't as impressed with the gen 1 as I thought I'd be but with that much more juice in the tiny package, it should be worth it.

A bunch of other stuff on special buy of the day today as well:

The super sawzall with the 6.0 forge looks like a decent buy too. I've been avoiding buying a battery powered sawzall because I figured the weight of the battery would make the tool a lot less usable. Has anyone used the m18 super sawzall? How does it compare to its plug in brothers?

Apparently the grease gun was a glitch. Went to order it this morning after arranging it getting shipped to me (not available in AK) and it's now $160.

Oh well. Was just going to be one I'd leave in my firewood processor toolbox to replace a ~15 yr old Lincoln power luber.

But $160 plus tax and another $25 shipping to get it to me, nah.
