Any tricks to be able to order it now at the sale price? I'm sure it won't be back in stock until the special buy price expires.

Im in need of a die grinder. HD has one on sale when bundled with a “free” battery.

I think in the past people have returned the unused and unneeded extra battery to get some pro-rated money back. Is that still the case?

That is very tempting, I might just jump on that little guy. I wasn't as impressed with the gen 1 as I thought I'd be but with that much more juice in the tiny package, it should be worth it.

A bunch of other stuff on special buy of the day today as well:

The super sawzall with the 6.0 forge looks like a decent buy too. I've been avoiding buying a battery powered sawzall because I figured the weight of the battery would make the tool a lot less usable. Has anyone used the m18 super sawzall? How does it compare to its plug in brothers?

If you demo a lot of wood, and want a slightly faster/more aggressive cut with the orbital feature, on a heavier body, the Super is where it's at. I've cut down a 14" maple with it before I stocked up on their chainsaws 😂.
But the latest Gen Fuel, upped its stroke length to match the Super, which was another advantage it had over the previous generation Fuel.
The extra weight and size does not benefit my needs, so I have the Fuel w/ OneKey.

Apparently the grease gun was a glitch. Went to order it this morning after arranging it getting shipped to me (not available in AK) and it's now $160.

Oh well. Was just going to be one I'd leave in my firewood processor toolbox to replace a ~15 yr old Lincoln power luber.

But $160 plus tax and another $25 shipping to get it to me, nah.

Wasn't a glitch, just part of deal of the day that ended 3am EST. If I am able to get mine in store, happy to ship one off.

Depends on how it's set up. If bundled as a single item, no. If it's a "free" add on and separate line item, yes.

You CAN'T return the battery with this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...-Ah-Battery-Pack-2485-20-48-11-2425/324615757

You can return the batter with this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...Angle-Die-Grinder-Tool-Only-2485-20/310152871

If you're in doubt, add to your cart. If there are two separate line items, you'll also be able to see what you'll get back when you return the battery.

Pin nailer looks like a solid deal - picture shows 4Ah battery however description is 2Ah.

I ordered this plus the G2 Stubby this morning. Decently confident that's it's 4Ah since the description and cart shows the 4Ah kit model number.

It was deal of the day yesterday so it expired and new deals are up today. I did see more Milwaukee but didn’t look to avoid spending more $

I guess I didn't see it was a limited time.

I got a little 12v 3/8" impack today. Allegedly 550 ft lbs. Hopefully that's not a typo and it's only like 55

Its 550 nut busting torque but only with the new 5.0 m12 battery. All other batteries get you lower performance from it. In tightening torque you get 400 with the 5.0 battery. The newer 2.5 battery gives the second best performance on it but in order to get the big numbers on the box, you have to use the 5.0.

I skipped out on the deal. If the 1/2" comes up for sale with a 5.0, I'll jump on it but that much torque in a 3/8" impact almost doesn't make sense to me. Don't get me wrong, its badass, but perhaps too much torque for fasteners that you'd get after with a 3/8" drive? I'd rather not lose the torque through a step-up adapter and you can always step down if needed.

It's the stubby nature, and the smaller 3/8 sockets that go with it for me. Adaptors and swivels rob LOTS of power and 3/8 impact stuff goes up to 24mm, so no need for 1/2.

I don't have any 3/8" drive close to that large, almost all of my sockets above 19mm or 3/4" are 1/2" drive.

You can also get the same deal above on the new gen 2 stubby 1/2" drive apparently. I'll wait for one that comes with the 5.0.

Are these good deals? Are they good bits?

I have a set of Ryobi impact bits already, and I assume they are of inferior quality, but a similar set functionally, and I’m a very infrequent user of these bits.
IMG_2423.jpeg
But it looks like a very good deal!

I have a larger set of dewalt drill bits and I have an M12 drill. Would the hex drill bits set be useful in my impact driver or M12 screwdriver as an alternative to my standard drill bits and M12 drill?

Thanks!

Acme tools has 20% off most of the Milwaukee accessories. I just ordered like 6 protective boots for myself and a coworker.

This M12 screwdriver kit for $60 is my most used tool around the house and tied with the stubby impact for the shop. I have two of them.

I also ordered that HD deal for the m12 screwgun.

The 4.0 in the deal should give 320-340 ft-lbs. Is that not enough for you?

Might not be enough for me, but I have 3x 5.0 HO batteries already.

Potentially a good deal on the riveter @ $190

The M12 riveter is $169 with a "free" 2.5Ah battery at HD (price expires at midnight on Dec 4th):

Less than $20 for the bit sets is usually an ok deal. Good to have in the general purpose tool kit when you need a variety of bits. I am kind of a tool/bit snob though so prefer or mix in other higher quality bits from various US, Swiss, Japanese and Taiwanese manufacturers that tend to hold up or fit better in certain applications. Milwaukees are built to the big box store spec IMHO which is mediocre at best.

@assassin10000 the new impact only hits its high output numbers with the 5.0 battery. Any lesser battery including the 6.0 and performance drops significantly. The 5.0 is the best, the 2.5 I believe is the next best and the 6.0 is third best. Check out the torque test channel video on the new stubby. I don't own any 5.0 batteries and I think I only have 1x 2.5 battery so unless it comes with the battery it needs to drive its full potential, I'll just keep using the impacts I've got now.

They advertise the new impact spec with 5.0ho batteries. I wonder if the 5.0ho ups the old versions power any?

If you take a step back and look at what they're telling you to do and returning that, who's to say that you don't order the same kit again and receive the battery with it, but then slightly change your story to which order didn't receive the promo battery.

I only make this suggestion, as they are telling you to do a return without an item in the order. And I'm sure if you explain to me customer service person, they would understand as well

Becuase it was a cyber monday special @ $199.00 with the battery and went to $249 today on their special buy. They won't honor the original price I bought it for even thought they screwed up . They sent me the tool only in the oem tool only box with a label stuck on it, thought maybe they opened and set the battery inside to ship but no joy. I checked the label and it says 1of 1for the shipping packages. I'm just pretty pissed right now. I asked them , just send me a battery and all is well , they said they cant.

So what I am hearing is that you will plan on getting the 3/8 impact and full master sets of 3/8 impacts in both SAE and metric. Great call

Well, bye Felicia.

I've had batteries show up 2-3 days after the tool.

Felicia?? It would be fine if they could tell me that is what happened and i quite expected that, but they can't tell me. I wasn't qoing to wait and let it go. I had it happen before also, but it always showed up as a split shipping in my order history. It shows my order was completely fullfilled and delivered.
I wanted the battery more than the saw. I have a **** ton of Milwakee M18 tools but wanted the bigger battery. The saw was a bonus but the only thing that shown up.

Gotcha. In your case best to wait for a deal with a HO 5.0 then. Maybe father's day? If there's not a special buy before then.

It doesn't afaik. I haven't noticed any gains on my current tools with the HO 5.0

I have always been dissapointted in Milwaukee and (not) providing the details of how they derive their numbers. I have understood it to be taken from what the tool is kitted with. So the both M12 & M18 mainstay combo kits, come with XC batteries, and those should provide their claimed specs. If you take a look at the Gen2 stubby kits, they are paired with M12 HO batteries, which leads me to believe their claims are from using those batteries.

The only tool that I can recall having officially different specs based on battery, is the 2732-20 Fuel 7-1/4" circ saw. On XC batteries it runs at 5,000 rpm, and 5,800 rpm on an HO battery.

Agreed.

The new m18 high torque impact had ratings for forge and non-forge batteries iirc.

Just an FYI the special buy of the 2562, XC 4.0 & charger was a homedepot deal. I got mine today and it was the impact in the normal box and a plastic clamshell starter kit. HD just paired a the tool only 2562-20 with a XC 4.0 starter kit for their 'bundle deal'.

In this case it isn't on Milwaukee. But otherwise it'd be nice if they were more clear about it.

Yep, that one too. Big Brian fart there, especially after watching Torque Test Chan vids. 😂

As far as "official" kits, go by what is included in the -21 or -22 kit, rather than the promos.

I try to keep am eye on my emails from HD. Often there are separate shipments arriving on different days.

I got 4 Forge batteries recently in 4 different packages.

Ive also had Ryobi stuff ship separate and a Tool or Batteries show up a week plus later.

Order another one, but return that higher priced one when it is also missing the battery ;)

Just for a update Home depot and I kissed and made up. All depends who answers the phone. The more i thought about it i decided to call the number from my pro account as I couldn't believe they left the outcome the way it was. I talked with them and they made it right. In fact, the lady i talked with put me on hold and talked to other personnel ( at least that's what she said) and they even claimed the battery did not come with it. She kinda laughed at them and said read the description it comes with it. The problem is ,they do not know and cannot tell if the battery would be shipped separate or not. Maybe the battery will show and maybe it won't.

Sometimes I prefer shipped to store for pickup. It was super ez to resolve when a Glacier Bay faucet was sent in place of my M18 power tool & battery order because it shipped for store pickup. Shady things can happen even at the distribution center.

Apparently this has been extended. I use pop rivets often. I have a pneumatic gun. Works quite well. So I really did need it. I bought it anyway.

HD has Special Buy of the Day & Pro Special of the week. The rivit is part of the weekly special, and has been on sale since Sunday. The Pro specials change at Monday 3am EST.

This is the right outcome. Sometimes you just need to escalate within CS.
