Damn, I can't remember who said they were looking for a deal on the right angle die grinder with the 5amp battery. I thought it was in this thread and I apologize for not remembering but here ya'll go:

I see a lot of repeat comments on that M12 right angle die grinder complaining about these three problems:

1. Plastic clips holding battery in place tend to break.

2. Unit overheats and shuts down frequently.

3. Doesn't take much pressure to overwork it, and it shuts off. (Not sure if that's related to the overheating.)

I also see a lot of positive comments, so maybe a bigger battery is the answer?

There are a few random Milwaukee items on the HD special buy of the day in case no one else looked. That both the old and new DA 5" M18 sander are on there.

Also, I've had this in my cart for a while, seems to be $129 (28% off). M18 FUEL blower, tool only:

Seems to get mixed reviews on battery life. I only own 3.0, 5.0 and 6.0 M18 batteries. Would primarily be used for minor cleanup (I have a gas backpack blower for serious cleanup).

How do I know if it's V2, and how long have those been out?

Mike
Well ****, I’m wrong. I did buy the old model. 2485-20

The new one is a 3485-20

When I looked this up the other day wherever I saw it they had the models reversed in the add.

Damn the bad luck 🥹

While this is a V3, it is notable that the V2 got down to $100.

I pulled the trigger on the M12 pruner, and the M18 dual bay rapid charger for $99 (23% off):

I'll hold on the blower for now, says it's optimized for 8.0 and 12.0 batteries. Maybe when those go on sale, I'll reconsider the blower.

Thank you! I've been waiting on one of these to go on sale. I just ordered one.

Should make quick work of the patios and garage entrances without having to fire up and ******** the BR600.

Wow. The sunglasses are useless to me (I wear prescription glasses, and won't wear contact lenses while blowing leaves and dirt around), but I like the price!

The trimmer kit with two HO 8.0 batteries and dual bay charger is still on clearance, down to $349 (if you can find one locally).

I'd think those would be better batteries for that blower, do you guys agree?

Mike

(Edited to note that the charger is a DUAL BAY!)

yea HO's are better for the blower. A little more kick in my V2. It does seem like the 6.0s are a little more robust if you are running in them in higher output tools like the chainsaws.

Really starting to think about buying two of those trimmer kits...

$700 (two kits):

$320 for 32 AH of batteries @$10 / AH.

$200 for 2 dual-bay chargers @$100 each.

That leaves me with 2 of the 3006-20 string trimmers for $180 ($90 each, list price is $399 each, common sale price is $199 each!

If I sell one of the trimmers for $180, I get the other one for free. If I sell both, I basically get the chargers for free.

The only reason I wouldn't do this is if the 8.0 batteries are garbage.

Just sayin'

Thanks. I just visited Bellingham, MA, they have 13 in stock (and I saw them all, so it's not a HD-website error), if anyone is looking.

I'm not buying any, simply because the trimmer is a solid-shaft (can't add accessories). And, I'm not a flipper...

I picked one of those up at HD today, and put it back down. Even without the batteries, I was surprised how large and heavy it is.

And, I was surprised it wasn't attached to the shelf by a cable...

It's well balanced - just used it for the first time with dual 8.0s and it didn't bother me. The more hilarious part is it's only a few DB quieter than a 2 stroke! You want power, you're going to get some weight and noise.

That being said I think the single battery would do most people just fine.

This is the best deal I’ve seen for a bandfile. What do you’ll think?.

Fug it, I could have really used one on Thursday fabricating a electrified strike adapter on the tailgate of my truck with nothing more then a grinder / cutoff wheel and a almost worn out ******* of a file.

So I bought one ;)

Those 5.0 HO batteries are noticeably better on several of my tools. Assuming the battery is worth $55 that makes the band file $155. Seems decent for a specialty tool.

That's a great price ($119) on the inflators! Is Woot an authorized Milwaukee retailer?
