Thanks, @2manytools. I wonder if HD would price-match in store? Or, online (and how do you make that happen)?

Mike
While you can take a chance, they shouldn't. They updated their Low price guarantee page this last month, you can just search that on phrase on HDs site, and woot would bot qualify.
However, they have made it clear they will match shipped & sold by Amazon, as well as other online retailers.

seems like a good deal,
$150.69 if you return 5amp battery
They’ve had it cheaper recently, and that 5.0 battery is awesome so I wouldn’t return it. I bought one of those in store on the glitch in early February for $179 with the free 5.0, and again mid March as a special buy of the day for $199 with the free 5.0. That second one showed up with two of the 5.0’s in the box for whatever reason.

Underhood light is $119 today at HD Special Buy of the Day. Tool only — no batteries so a $179 deal with charger and a good size battery might be worth waiting for if your need is not urgent and you have M12 batteries.

So that 5amp is that much better than the 4amp m12 battery?

If you have an M12 tool specifically designed to take advantage of the 5.0, it's a significant difference. With that said, the difference isn't that major on a non HO tool, but there is still a benefit. The other advantage of the new HO batteries is the case material is different. Glass fiber reinforced and chemical resistant. They're definitely worth upgrading to.

Here's a video from Torque Test Channel testing the 5.0 and showing the difference in construction.

This one shows the difference between a tool designed for the HO battery using the regular XC M12 batteries and then the HO M12 5.0 battery.

Better yes, "that much better depends". For me, I think so. I bought them on deals twice this year. My none HO run time seems better to me, and the deal was to good to pass up. If I had HO tools or was invested in the M12 platform it would be that much better.

@pbon my wife is going to be really mad at you. Somehow ended up with an additional $800+ of Milwaukee stuff after being on a sort of Milwaukee purchase drought.

Please note that the $500 cap doesn't seem to apply. The reconditioned tools seem to be a good buy (haven't had any warranty issues). Also some tools do not have the 20% discount available. Really wanted the m12 hedge trimmer at $150, but ended up with the pruners instead. Reconditioned track saw was a good deal @$215, not many left in stock.

Here's what I bought:

Factory Authorized Outlet on EBay has 20% off on some items using the coupon code OUTLET20.

You got me! I've been eyeing the track saw and missed the recent Home Depot special with the bare tool and (2) 6.0 batteries for $399. I didn't really need any more batteries, so 20% off the saw, finish blade, and tracks was a no brainer.

Also picked up the cultivator attachment.

Thank you for being a terrible influence.

Now to order the 106" track for pickup at Home Depot to avoid crazy shipping/handling charges.

Nice deal of the day on the M18 mid torque and high torque with a pair of 6.0 batteries for $415.

Man that's a good deal on that setup, if I didn't already have both of them I'd jump on it. For those wondering about the mid torque, that thing is a beast. It's my go to impact at work and hasn't failed me once working on our squads. Plenty of power and it has taken a beating, dropped multiple times and whatnot and just keeps going. Highly recommended.

I use ACME tools with good success. HD is good for easy returns but also got defective Milwaukee that I returned.

I wonder if you could return the mid-torque impact if you already have one?

The return strategy works only if the cart shows 2 separate items, which is sometimes the case where you get a free battery or free tool if you buy a tool. In this case, you would be stuck with both tools, but maybe you could sell one.

They were $349 between black friday and Christmas. I bought a few of those sets for Christmas gifts.

Shopping for the M18 track saw, would like to pickup tomorrow but shipping would be ok if needed?

Whats the best deal out there?

I have plenty of big batteries, just need the saw I have Makita tracks already (unless theres some smoking deal on tracks)

It's part of Buy More, Save More at HD. Spend $1000, save $400 along with lower tiers

^paired maybe with a dual battery vac and/or quik-lok (if you need) to get over $1000.

These buy more save more works better for people just starting their Milwaukee addiction...

edit: scratch the quik-lok (doesn't come with a battery) - maybe the Compressor though

Does that actually work? I assumed if you returned stuff it would prorate the BMSM discount if you go below the threshold?

So you guys are saying you can BMSM at home depot and go back the next day, return 2/3 of what you bought and you keep the discount?

Has anyone done this? Can we get some verification one way or the other?

In-store promos for next quarter.
It's the Fuel OMT & paddle grinder under the paper on the first picture, & I'm sure all the nailer prices can be looked up today.

On a FB group, it has been said these promo's have been pulled. The Packout BMSM version online was live, then pulled. So not sure what is going on.

If you're store displays it, they should be honoring it.
