According to my refund email, in about a week the funds will be returned to my paypal account. I had money drawn from my "special" account just for this. I did the cancel payment and it is still pending.

It comes in several kits actually. Just the impact & batteries, or one with the Fuel Hammer Drill. That's how I got mine, though I think they had it priced incorrectly as it was an amazing deal. Not a ton of deals on the Surge, as I think it is sort of a premium tool they think they don't need to discount. You will love it.

Where in the UP are ya from? Spent a decent amount of time in Ironwood. PM if you want to answer

i've seen some of you mention buying a kit with a bonus tool or battery, and returning the battery or tool (from home depot) can you explain to me how this works? i've never bought one of the bonus buys before

only in-store, when there is an offer for a free item with the purchase of another, it really isn't free. Rather, the price of the item is taken off each of the two items (free/main) proportionately. If one of the items was marked free, you could return the other for the full price then. This is the next best thing. Online, the two items are bundled under one sku, therfore the deal does not apply.

I've posted the formula to figure out how much each item costs, but forget when/where exactly.

Yeah I know they come in some kits I got mine in the hammer drill combo at a decent deal last year this one is for my dad. But it never comes in the really good package deals like at The 499 pack out deal. I agree with you they know what tools sell themselves and never offer much sales incentives on them like the 6.5 fuel circular saw. Also sent you a pm

I'm looking for a few 9.0 batteries and it looks like ebay is the best place to get them ($100), but is there anything I should look out for to make sure the batteries are legitimate Milwaukees?

One example I found:
https://www.ebay.com/i/232195842255...=26&mehot=ag&sd=292395896650&itm=232195842255

Of course I'm also in the market for a grinder and HD has the new braking one bundled with 3 9.0 batteries and a rapid charger for $500, maybe I'll just go that route:bounce:

That one looks good to me. Says it comes in retail packaging, and doesn't say 'replacement for,' only lists the actual model #, and no funny looking pics.

Positive of the bundle, is you get the case of you need. If you dont, this red addict could use a house for his. Also an extra rapid charger.

If you are looking to still buy through eBay, or a number of sites, don't for get cash back sites. It really adds up. I use Ebates, and that is a referral link. There are other sites and other people have links, so if one of them has helped you out. 2% on the one I put, can be as high as 8%.

And a tio for when you copy a link from a an e-retailer, you usually only need to copy up until the item #. In this case it ends in 2255.

not a bad deal. 3x9.0s is a lot of battery. when i only had one i could have used another. no that i have another one i havent needed to charge them in months. for me 2x2.0, 2x5.0 and 2x9.0 is plenty for me.

I ended up going with the fuel paddle switch with 1 9.0 battery and rapid charger from HD for $250, I like the locking switch better but they didn't have that one bundled with the battery. Seemed like a good deal, I figured the grinder is costing $110 if I had bought the battery ($100) and charger ($40) on ebay sepearatly.

Its not on sale, $79 is normal price.

That it is. I was going say I'd order it from HD then, but they are sold out. Pricing is perfect for using a $15 off $75 ebay coupon when it comes around. I think I will wait for that. Otherwise, I guess the promo through CPO is that they have it in stock, and shipped free. Whoo :wtf:

My packout full size organizers from Zoro at $35 after coupon have been on BO for like 6 weeks.
That box is 82.99 at zoro. Add a 20% off coupon and that would bring it down to $66.00 with free shipping. Two week lead time though.

Ebay flash sale for 15%:
https://slickdeals.net/f/11389519-i...p=113411999&src=da_newreg_curated_v2_31435584

Not as good as the 20% off flash sale from a week or two ago, but still a good deal. I scored the M12 Fuel gen 2 hammer drill kit 2504-22 plus a free battery for $143 during the 20% sale...I thought that was a decent deal! And the seller was Toolup, so it seemed legit. Order arrived and everything was brand new, original packaging.

eBay 20% going right now on spring sale. CPO is one of the vendors. Just bought the Milwaukee pocket floodlight for $52 shipped.

USB pocket flood light. ... can I use/swap in a 18650?

I tried to research it a little bit just now but I'm on my phone and it's a pain in the *** trying to read through the reviews.

EDIT: looking at Milwaukee home page for the battery, it says it is:
0.87" OD, by 2.95" length = Milwaukee
0.71" OD by 2.56" length = my 18650

I saw some chatter on the budgetlightforum, and dudes were suspecting these may or may not be the new 20700 or 21700 b/c of the toolguyd post...http://budgetlightforum.com/node/56047

My EDC Olight flashlight and headlamp, plus a bunch of other stuff, all use 18650...trying to make that the platform for my desk, job, and car kit. (Which still may be replaced by Tesla/Panasonic 21700 in the future...but I haven't followed up lately to see how that tech is coming along)

Doing some googling......

20700
.783" X 2.75"

21700
.82" X 2.77"

So I would say no. Milwaukee has a proprietary size here.

Perhaps, but doesn't mean they couldn't beef up a battery unnecessarily. I didn't think any of the power tool brands made any of their own batteries.

Let me re-phrase that, it might be one of the listed batteries, but it is inside of a proprietary plastic case. Holding one in my hand right now out of my hardhat light. And no, I'm not breaking my case open to find out. :lol_hitti
Besides, all the connections are on one end of the case.

Macgyver could make it work with some chewing gum and wire.

I'm looking a buying my first Milwaukee M12 tool, the Rivet tool. It $170 bare tool, and $300 with 2 batteries, charger and bag.

Seems like the kit is an expensive add. Does another similar kit exist on sale or clearance that I could buy instead to maximize my value? Maybe a light, radio or entry level drill?

I thought the 2860 was pin detent.
I get confused easily.
Considering purchasing but would like to know for sure what I am buying.
Picture shows pin detent, but description says friction ring.
Can anyone clarify?

Contacted Home Depot and was informed that the picture is incorrect and item on sale is the 2861 with friction ring.

2860 IS pin detent. I'm pretty sure the model # entered into their model # field is usually what ships, and that the description and photos are incorrect.

If you get the 2861 as the model # says, it's hog ring. If you get the 2860 as the photos/description shows, you get the pin detent. Who knows :)

if you want really good deals check out sacfastners Instagram page. I am in no way affiliated with them. I have bought quite a bit of stuff from them.

They run daily deals and Sunday deals, also seem to have product before it is officially released.
