Awesome! You guys are the the best!

Is the 9.0 worth the extra money?

don't pay more than $100 for the 9ah. that is the going rate on CL/ebay, if not lower after coupons. The 9ah is nice for the the blower, saws, grinders, and probably a few other tools I don't use with high torque/power demands.

I don't use it on anything else, as I don't find benefits to the extra weight (my impact isn't going to hit any harder on a 9ah vs nice compact 2ah, just run longer if my arm wants to keep up)

I love my 9.0. I found a 2 pack w/ charger for $199 at Depot just after Christmas.

I find the 9.0 balances heavy rotational tools way better than the smaller batteries. My 1/2" impact is actually way easier to handle with the heavier battery. With my 2AH battery it feels very unbalanced. The additional mass also makes it easier to control when you're hamming on a stubburn bolt.

Ya find the best deal. I had gotten the saw and 9.0 for $199 with an ACME promo last year

That was my only recon issue I also have a 2401 screwdriver that was a recon...works perfect

My recon 7-1/4" saw is a good one! If it weren't for the tiniest bit of sawdust on it, I'd swear it was unused. Threw a new Diablo blade on it, everything is square and true. Holding it by my side I pulled the trigger and was nervous at how quiet it was, but I was pleasantly surprised when I started cutting up some boards. I knew not having a cord hanging up on edges would be nice, but now I want to use this one all the time just for the noise reduction alone.

Same thing here. Glad I cancelled my high torque last week, though Im also sad at the same time.

I can't think of anything on my truck that the mid torque wouldn't remove.. Axel nut, rack and pinion, body bolts... If I run into a big problem, which would be ultra rare, I'll just use my air gun

We have tractors & farm equipment. We rarely need to do a ton of work, but I'm sure there will be a time ill wish I had the HT out of convienence.

The much quieter operation of the cordless was a pleasant surprise to me as well. All I have to compare it to is my mandatory hearing protection corded skill saw, though. It almost seems like it has a brake, also...

It seems like it, or could it be the nature of the motor? I know the blade stops spinning much, much sooner than my corded saw. A good safety measure!

First cordless circular saw I've ever used too, so I can only compare it to my corded Ryobi and my friend's corded Dewalt.

FWIW, If anyone has been sitting on the fence about the hedge trimmers, do it! I just used mine for the first time last night. These things are powerful! Much stronger and longer than my Ryobi weed eater attachment and our 120V plug in set.
That thing was like swinging around a broad sword! I was like Conan the Barbarian on those shrubs last night!!
9.0 battery adds good balance

You guys are too funny

Electric Brake The electric brake engages when the trigger is released, causing the blade to stop and allowing you to proceed with your work. Generally, the saw blade stops within two seconds. However, there may be a delay between the time you release the trigger and when the brake engages. Occasionally the brake may miss completely. If the brake misses frequently, the saw needs servicing by an authorized MILWAUKEE service facility. The brake is not a substitute for the guard, and you must always wait for the blade to stop completely before removing the saw from the workpiece.

Hey but who reads an owners manual right? :lol_hitti

I did the exact same thing and waited too long. I’m assuming we won’t see that deal again until next spring

The deal popped up again today. Ordered the string trimmer and hedge trimmer package for $299. Stopped at my local Home Depot and they had the gen one blower on clearance so I picked that up. Now to get an extra 9.0 battery.

I used the blower when I got hom with a 3ah battery. Didn’t last long. Hopefully I don’t regret getting the blower

The 3ah is not enough for the blower. The smallest I use is a 5.0 and lasts for a few rounds clearing the driveway, patio and street after cutting the lawn. Otherwise, depending on the size of your lawn you can trim the lawn then slap the battery in the blower and be good. I wouldn't recommend it for true leaf clearing duty.

Thanks. I figured the battery wasn't big enough. It was the only one I had available. I also ordered a fuel circular saw so I'll be all set with 2 9.0 batteries

I have to thank you guys for leading me to these tools. I went ahead and but the bullet and bought their 1/4" impact, etc. etc. I used these tools on and off for 11 hours today and they did everything I asked them to and I still had 4 LEDS on the 5AH battery. Very impressive tools these guys make.

Not to beat a dead horse, but that ebay CPO 20% off deal still runs through today (promo code PREP4SUMMER). I posted this again because some of the inflated prices have dropped to regular Home Depot prices.

Got my mid torque today thay I used the 15 percent coupon to total about 140. Appears new, but new with no box. Everything that would come in the box but no box. Just a heads up if that's an issue with you. Seller was reddingfasteners. They have good feedback and the tool works fine. Makes me think they do that to cut down shipping (showed up in a doubled up passed envelope that fit in my mailbox)

I think it’s capped at $50 though at least it was when I tried checking out.

I actually picked them as the retailer because it said it was new in box. Sent them a message they should have said there was no box, especially when that is what they have in the picture. Yes silly, but I like to have original boxes to tools

a box goes a long ways... you can usually tell if the box has been opened a few times, beat up etc... otherwise you're just getting a tool and who knows the story behind it. i'll send them a message as well. no biggie, i'll still leave good feedback, but just so they know that's not 100% as advertised.

Got notification today that an item I was watching dropped back to normal prices on ebay, seller was CPO....makes it worse that I have sales tax in GA. I used to work close enough I could go pick it up though.

But that ended yesterday. So it makes sense they just lowered the price again. :headscrat

Northern Tool has the Milwaukee jobsite fan for $59 and free shipping. This thing is great for camping and comes with a wall adapter also.

Good price on a popular item. Just wished they used a standard extension cord like all the tool fans out there, and was a hair more quiet. Two reasons I use a Ryobi, and it was 50% the cost. Hoping they announce a larger fan at NPS18

I know this is a deal thread but some folks might not follow the Milwaukee Addict thread or tool blogs. The announcements today should mean we see closeouts/deals on 5.0 batteries and possibly the 9.0 batteries as new ones hit stores.

Totally agree with your points there. Hard to jump ship and add another battery platform. Milwaukee prices are high. I really want the M18 car charger, but I won't foot the $100 for one. The Ryobi charger is $39 and I may just convert it with a 3D printed M18 adapter.

They've already had an M18 XC 6.0 for a while now that no one seems to talk about because they didn't put them in kits. What's different about the new one other than slapping "High Output" on the casing?

Ugh. I bought a Dewalt 18v chainsaw and 3 9.0s a few weeks ago 😭

The 9.0s deliver more current at one time, not just longer runtime. Guessing the 6.0 HO is the same. Did we ever see normal M18 6.0s after being announced?
