I'm seeing $400 and $250.

depends on the zip code you put in. zip 13601 says the stand light is $100.03. I've had no luck finding anywhere that ships it, or has stock.

all Chicago land area

60194 has 2 available @ $200
60153 - 1
60647 - 1
60642 - 1

Thanks. Ordered x 2 in case I am motivated to wash the cars or mow the lawn in the middle of the night.

Definitely zip code specific. Am in between houses with a move and couldn’t get them shipped to the new place 30 miles away.

Thanks I wondered if it was zips, so much so that when I saw this last night I put in the Buckhead store (30309) from the late, great 50% off 60" workbench score. But Buckhead is full price on these items.

Thank You! It was 100.03 for the rocket stand! My zip is 48094

Guess I didn't search that far west of me in MI, probably would have snagged it. If you got it at the Shelby store, the price is back up to $200. Another store nearby has 2 @$200, and another has 4@ $400.

I think this is the first time I've seen the Home Depot website behave that way with pricing, I always thought that was more a Lowe's thing. Is it always like that? Can you "fish" for good deals with different zip codes?

With the "ship to home" option, is it coming from a particular store with the lower price or from a warehouse? Does HD cancel orders like Lowes does?

Yes, some had the 60" workbench cancelled at $350. IIRC they all came from GA

It is unusual to see the HD site do this.

This appears to be a legit seller on ebay with the 2135-20 Rocket light for $126.05 with free shipping. They are listed as new and shows to have 5 available:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Cordless-L...426783&hash=item3af6c537e7:g:hDIAAOSwDFBaApmX

Hmm, curious if that works out. Even if he got 'em at $100 there's not enough mark-up there to cover fees & shipping.

Some of the negative feedbacks say the seller has cancelled some items & re-listed at higher prices.

Or it's a hacked account....

Time to start writing scraping code for HD.com now.. This will be great!!

EDIT, it changes the price when you go to pay and change your address. WTF? Even if I use the zip where it shows $100 on the website to ship to it changes price to $200+. If I ship this to my house its $200, if I ship it to a customer less than 20 miles away it is $400+, very strange. The good news is though we can write some code to make it easy to figure out what is what if it stays this way.

I just looked at all their Milwaukee items for sale. I didn't see anything that was priced like the Milwaukee light. Expect them to cancel on you.

Lots of items do this. They must have some algorithm to price match local competition. When I bought beakers for my panel he was a few dollars less them my local Menards when I looked it up on line. When I entered my store they matched Menards. I then used a different browse and didn't enter my store and was able to get them shipped to my house

That's not the case here. I tried to use incognito (In private browsing) and it came down to the ship to address during checkout.

I didn't order thru eBay so no cancellations for me, actual or hypothetical. Just musing and wondering aloud.

The guy on eBay is probably using home Depot as a drop shipper.

So, I was able to order this for shipping from 13601. Think I'll actually get it? Shipping no longer available now though.

It's very common to buy on eBay, then the seller uses a stolen credit card number to purchase from Home Depot and ship to you. It doesn't matter what he pays for the item since it's a stolen card and he keeps the payment from eBay for himself.

It happened to my brother with one of those fancy K cup coffee machines a few years ago. The stolen person's credit card company asked him to send the machine back but wasn't willing to refund the money he paid to the eBay seller. It was a joke. He kept the machine.

Happened to me before as well, and I kept the item as I would have been the loser in the whole situation otherwise.

I was thinking it is more likely a price mistake though, as scammers usually only have 1 or 2 items for sale that are fairly popular like tools, but this person has thousands in various categories. Should have tried to buy one earlier. O well, got one in the closet already.

I can get the lights and bandsaw for the discounted prices but of course not the one thing I want, the miter saw.

Ok here is the run down guys. If the item is available for free standard shipping you can contact the live chat and they will place the order at full price and then price match afterward. They can't do that with any items that are only available for expedited shipping. So someone find us some miter saws available for standard free shipping at 150.03!

Just ordered 4 of the rocket light chargers for 100.03 each. Well initially they are 200 but supposedly on the shipping notification the price reduction will be applied.

Home Depot had it for $200 today, at least for my zip code online (53072). I felt more comfortable paying $200 for a $400 light rather than taking the chance on eBay. Even at $200, it's still overpriced.

YMMV they would not budge on price for me.

How it's working is whatever store defaults to your shipping address you can check for the special pricing if it showing the price it will be able to ship to you.

I just tried the store I shop at and not my local store. They are 5 miles apart and chat would not honor the price at the store 5 miles away since my shipping address stores does not have it for that price. I checked at another store by my buddies and just used his address and shipped it to his house.

Looks like most stores without stock are showing these prices from what I see.

Grabbed the M18 Radio for $115. I be in for the M18 Bandsaw and Rocket Light Charger but not lucky here. Just bought the light last week in store for $200 but $100 is better.

Anytime you try to checkout the price will change on the final complete order page no matter what you do.

The One Key drill set is showing $125 price as well if you look around.
