Apparently I'm on team Milwaukee now having picked up the mid-torque Fuel impact a few pages (a week or so) ago, and last night, the Fuel Surge 1/4" hydraulic and a 5.0 battery last night.

Stop me.

My M12 flashlight arrived yesterday and I tried it out last night. It's going in the tool bag just as soon as my eyes recover and I can see again. WOW! That thing is BRIGHT!

bought the M18 sawzall and the 2 3.0 batteries a week ago. Then the m18 fan Monday.
But i returned the sawzall cause the thing is just hard on the wrists compared to the m12.
So i bought the M12 5 tool kit on homedepot special buy and got the 3/8 ratchet i wanted.

The milwaukee slope is a steep one.

The M18 Sawzall is not intended for 1 hand use, though no full size reciprocating saw really is. While that 5-tool combo is a good deal, that hackzall is quite limited. You will be much more satisfied with the M12 Fuel Hackzall. Milwaukee also released a M18 Fuel Hackzall this last year, which is also designed as a 1-handed operated tool. HD has had a special for the M18 Fuel Hackzall & 5.0 battery for $200. Saw a few still in stores last week when I went.

It's especially slippery w M12 'cause the tools are relatively affordable.

While I agree the brushed M12 Hackzall is just meh that 5 tool kit was still an awesome deal. All those other tools are still very useful. Watch for 6.0 battery deals now, it can help wake up the drill and the light would run for days.

Impact drivers don't benefit as much from more amp hours and the form factor of the ratchet lends itself to compact batts

The M18 Fuel Hackzall is an awesome tool. Perfect balance of size, weight, power, and usefulness.

Added the 5.0 in. I never thought it needed it from a power perspective, but definitely for run time. Just the opposite on the hedge trimmer though, that goes FOREVER.

That's good to know. I wore myself out using mine Saturday morning. I'll use the 5.0 next time to lighten things up a little. Not quite the stamina these days that I had a few years back. :(

Exactly, my newer version of Milwaukee 2724 blower ran about 10 minutes off a 5 ah battery last weekend. I may have to have two 9 ah batteries in a row for a fall clean-up.

Comes with the 5 amp battery. Of all the tools they have, this one really needs the 9.0.

M18 Fuel Gen1 Blower w/ 5.0 battery & charger kit is $149 at HD starting tomorrow, at least that is what the ad said. It does appear to be live online already. It looks like it's the rapid charger as well.

sku: 1002917094

M18 Fan will also be $59 in store as well

This looks like a must purchase because of the cost of the extra battery/charger alone. I don’t have a blower currently and have been using my air compressor hose to blow saw dust off the driveway.

if you look at the pics clearly closer, it is not the rapid charger.

Also should warn everybody, cordless blowers are not yet prime time replacement for gas blowers. The batteries don't last. the string trimmer and hedge trimmers, the cordless works great and last quite a bit.
but batteries don't last on blowers, grinders, buffers,,,even with a 9ah battery.

wish I knew why or internals of why the high battery usage on blowers, grinders, buffers.

Looks like you are probably right. I was looking at the front bevels to the left of where the m18 charges, but i don't see any glimmer of white rapid charger on the top. I was a little surprised to see them include a rapid with a 5.0.

Thanks for clarifying

can get it 6 bucks cheaper on the bay with coupon PARTYINUSA. some deals to be had for sure. most appear to be from CPO

https://ebay.com/itm/Milwaukee-2728...116264&hash=item4d748c50cc:g:1x8AAOSwyDFbDeTB

everything that qualifies for the coupon here.
https://ebay.com/sch/i.html?showdbp...ko-inc,zwilling_j.a._henckels&_nkw=milwaukee+

As much as I want to save another $6 (more with 8% ebay bucks right now for me), but I'll take my business elsewhere when they choose to raise prices for a sale.

I’m waiting for the mid torque 3/8” impact, but I did purchase a M18 fuel grinder with the eBay deal for $106.

I was also holding out on picking up a 3/8 gun. Was planning on waiting for the new m12 to be released. But cruzing my local HD I noticed one lonely M18 fuel 3/8 on an upper shelf. A quick check of the #2754-20 showed not available in stores, and a price of 159.99. figured I'd check in to it. Rang up as $109!! Pretty stoked on the deal

Looking to set foot in the Milwaukee M18 land... How do the current 4th of July deals compare with historical Black Friday pricing? No immediate need (I've got a couple projects on the back-burner until I end up getting a drill, but have been holding off so as to start out in the Milwaukee ecosystem), so if there's a sizeable difference I can hold off. Looking to start with a drill + impact driver starter set (brushless, likely).

I was just going to posts that Acme has 10% off orders under $350, 15% off over $350. Pair this with the get 2x 5ah or 1x 9ah battery promo, there are some decent deals.

I myself am going to pre-order the chainsaw for $340

coupon cabin is also offering 1.75% cashback currently.

The current HD promos of buy a kit, get a free X aren't horrible. Honestly you can probably still piece together a kit cheaper a la carte. BF deals are generally greatest on tool-onlys and batteries.

Damn you I hadn't even considered pre-ordering the chainsaw!

Here's to tease your wallet a little bit more. I didn't include drill or impact single tool kits, as they value the 2 batteries/charger/bag or case anywhere from $150-$170 pre-coupon. Personally, I won't pick up a 5ah for more than $55, probably less than $50 when the 12's are on shelves.

Pre-orders with tentative July shipping dates

7-1/4" Super Circular Saw Kit - $399
Super Sawzall Kit - $399
7"/9" Large Angle Grinder Kit (1 battery) - $399
7"/9" Large Angle Grinder Kit (2 battery) - $579

Gen3 Hammer Drill (tool only) - $149
Gen3 Drill (tool only) - $129
Gen3 Impact (tool only) - $129
Gen3 Impact/H Drill Kit - $379
Gen 3 Impact/H Drill & Sawzall Kit - $499

IGN, I'm hoping for something good on post 10K!

does the circular saw M18 (fuel or non-fuel) have strong start-up torque like corded ones?

No. If you load any of the circular saws down before the blade starts spinning good the tool will cut off because of a too large of an amperage draw.

Yep. Typical of any cordless saw. So if you start on a cut you left off of, just back it up a tiny bit and continue cutting.

If you mean strong startup as in does it reach peak power almost instantly, than yes, just not if the blade is obstructed. IMO a corded circular saw can't be beat by a cordless, however a cordless is much more handy than a corded. That's why I own both. If I'm making a precision cut or cutting a lot of wood in the garage I use my corded. If I need to run to someone's house or go down to my basement to make a cut, or just need to make a few cuts I use cordless. The yre handy on a jobsite too

$499 CDN - M18 2734-20 Fuel 10" mitre saw with 9 amp starter kit

In Canada HD has the 2734-20 Fuel Mitre Saw for $499 (Canadian) and has a bonus 9 amp Battery & Rapid charger starter kit ($349 MSRP in Canada) thrown in.

Not a really smashing deal, but if you are looking for either the saw or the starter kit or a combo it is a fairly good deal.

But if you were to live near Detroit, drive across the bridge and get 25% off... I don't think that would be too bad of a deal. But dang, they're pretty proud of those battery packs up there. $349 is rather extreme.

I will wait and hopefully pick one of these up at HD on clearance next year for around $150. Dont need it, would love to finally get rid of a gas chainsaw.
