To get 15%, aren't we supposed to buy at least four items, then be able to get that discount? If we add three 50 cent items, and a bare tool, that's eligible for 15% off? If so, that's a good deal for retailer which hasn't inflated their prices.

I didn't see any of the kits having the free bare tool

At Acme, you need to use the coupon code "DOYOURBESTWORK" for up to 15% off
You have to search for the little banner, click for details to see which tools are offered free. Each site had a different group to pick from. I found these items offered but not all at one place:Spare battery; Floodlight; 1/4 ratchet; 3/8 ratchet; jigsaw; hackzall
Acme:-------------------------------------CPO:

Yeah I was thinking the 1/4 hex + hammer drill with the free 3/8 ratchet with the 15% off would be nice but thats not offered at either :/ oh well.

Jigsaw is OOS at CPO anyway

That combo was offed at HD as well as the Angle Drill but they don't have the 20% off of Acme.

So I Got my Rocket light and battery combo at Home Depot, returning the 5.0ah kit tomorrow.

Guess I'm going to be on the prowl for another GenII leaf blower.

They make a lot of noise but won't stop a 6' bush hog.....said a friend....

I just got my gen ii leaf blower Saturday. It’s pretty handy to clean up my garage and small front porch. I can’t really compare it to a corded electric as I haven’t had one in about 10 years. I was able to do my garage and porch with 1 bar of a 5.0 battery. It moves 3/4” gravel from about 2’ away and does a good job pushing pine cones. Pine needles in gravel are a big ask, it doesn’t do a great job there.

I think they're still $99 at HD....but on vacation this week I noticed they're $109 in Maui ;). I figured the extra $10 was just island mark-up

Trying to jump into the milwaukee game. Any ideas on the best spot right now besides eBay for the basic impact and driver/drill combo (2799-22CX or similar)? I think I saw it as low as $179 before any coupons.

Yeah, 99 is regular price right now.
Can wait a while, still have a corded 120v blower.
Killed a 3AH XC battery too.

Did they have a display in the store with the deal ? I went today and saw the lights there but no mention of the free starter kit.

Does the discount/ refund value still work if its ordered online ?

as it turns out, i was in Home Depot today.

there was no mention of this deal in the location where the lights are regularly stocked. there was a display, however, over in front of the pro desk, which included a placard with both lights listed and the battery/charger set with the deal clearly outlined. there was also stock of both lights and the battery/charger.

interestingly, there was a lot more battery/chargers than there were lights.

Can someone clarify the returns policy for HD for me. If im want to buy this: https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...-Batteries-Charger-Tool-Bag-2557-22/302616673
Is it possible to then return just the charger and keep the batteries and tool?

If so, anyone know how much it would end up costing?

That is a kit not a bonus buy. You would not be able to return just part of it. The only way the return for a percentage back is when they include a free battery with purchase

no. has to be in store most of the time for what you are trying to do (Ridgid does have a promo online right now that is pro-rating the items). You also have to be getting an entire sku'd item free, not break up a kit.

Dang two others responded while I was typing my response on my phone! I'll just leave mine anyway lol.

It is packaged as one item so no you cannot return one part without returning it all. When you see people referring to returning the battery or charger they are returning a battery or charger from a bonus buy type deal that includes an individually packaged battery or charger in which case a refund amount with be stated in the original purchase receipt. For example I bought an impact for $220 with a free 5.0 battery and on the receipt it stated I could return the battery for $80 making the impact $140. There is also a refund amount associated with the impact so I can't just keep the free battery and then return the impact for full price. Hope this explanation makes sense and helps...

Ah. Fair enough, wasn’t sure how the kits worked there. Over here some tool sellers will let you break up the kits or replace tools, and I saw people quoting their receipts which showed some refund amounts etc.

Oh well, probably just get skin only or see what they are doing in November on deals.

I talked to the Milwaukee rep the other day at HD and he said they will be rolling out new promotions in a month or so. If you're not in a rush I'd wait and see if they have anything decent then.

There is a display. The lights are in a box with a small display above it. The batteries are to the right attached to the same box.

It says something along the lines of Buy One of these (Rocket light or a smaller light) and get this free (the battery/charger combo)

The better items, this time around, are not carried locally. Can this typically be done with free-item deals purchased online?

Typically no. Depends on how the promo is setup. Ridgid currently has a promo they involves a free Ridgid 9.0 starter kit online, and it pro-rating the amounts, but the Milwaukee deals are often bundled under one sku, and can't be broken up.

Yes they are in the display, but there is no wording on it, but you can see where the promo sign would go. I guess i could have asked. Maybe Ill make it over there this weekend

Here are the promos on M18 and m12 lights

Anyone see any deals on the M18 fan? I saw it at $59 a while back but was debating between the ryobi and the Arctic cove swamp mister...
I like the price of the Ryobi ($40) and that i can just plug an extension cord straight into it if I don't want to run on batteries.

The Milwaukee seems like it would be the best quality fan. But I'm really not a fan of needed to lug around the wall adapter with it. And they likely will do a small refresh on it to allow the 12AH batteries to fit soon.

The Arctic cove mister seems like it might make me coolest in the workshop, but I'm in SE Michigan so there is already high humidity...

(options I am considering)

As far as I know, the fan will fit a 12.0 battery, but since the battery is taller than the"legs" on the fan, the battery touches the ground first.

Do you really think the fan needs a 12Ah battery? It lasts all day with a 5Ah battery.

I'd be on board with a larger fan that obviously takes more current to run but as someone that used the M18 fan for two days while Hurricane Irma knocked out my power...5Ah is plenty.

A 20" fan would be pretty awesome!

I'm hoping for an M18 oscillating tower fan that utilizes the same base as the Rocket lights.

Same, I actually joked about that a couple years ago before the rocket light came out (I wanted just a pedestal), now it's very doable.

A high velocity fan and a tower oscillating fan would be amazing. I wouldn't think twice about buying both.

Has anyone gotten the M12 Stubby yet? I'm debating between the 3/8 and 1/2 version. According to the specs, they are the same power, but I've seen some comments that suggest that the 1/2 is stronger. Not sure if they were misinformed, or if there is actually a difference between the two.

Milwaukee says the specs are the same. And the body is the same size. So I doubt there is any difference other than the anvil.

Is there an in store combo deal on one of these lantern lights where I can return the battery?
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...18-3-0Ah-Battery-2144-20-48-11-1828/305879871

I need something to take with me into the attic and crawl space of my house when I'm running network cable or romex that can light the area up for me and I like the 360 lighting this little guy provides. If not, I'll just wait for the new promos at the end of this month or whenever they come out.
