ebay has taught me to wait. rarely do i need something immediately. for less expensive stuff, i will accept the 10% ebay bucks. for more expensive stuff, i wait for the seemingly regular end of month 15% off.

To add a little more clarity, they are seeing a good portion of their sales coming from fixed price listings (BIN) on new products, but their growth pales compared to Amazon and Walmart. They want their share of the pie! They want to compete with online retailers where you push a button to buy new product. I think that’s why the better codes (15-20%) are usually in effect for a day.

In that spirit, my crystal ball says Black Friday and cyber Monday will be their 4th quarter opportunity. And you may see some smaller promos in advance of ($15 off $75) that week.

Looks like $170 on eBay, so it would be cheaper with a 15% off coupon.

$219 at Home Depot with a free 5.0 battery, probably close enough I’d just buy local. I’ve got the mid torque, so I don’t think I need the monster for my automotive hobby stuff.

I stumbled across a rapid charger from Milwaukee, doesn't the rapid charger damage batteries in the long run (shortening life)?

I haven't noticed any ill effects in the year or so I've been using one, but perhaps that isn't long enough of a period to make any real observations.

I asked on another forum about this and basically got a similar answer of "no, probably not."

August-September are the best months for Milwaukee promos. My local tool rep drops off their current deals and I stock up for the year. The Drill/Driver fuel combo are the best @ $249 with a free 5.0 battery. All the other deals usually have a free battery or free tool. IE: Buy a $99 light and get a free 5.0 battery.

I have so many batteries from these promos that they are stock piling. 5.0 and 9.0. One of the deals this last time was buy 2 bare tools and you get a free "starter kit (battery/charger). It came out to roughly $50-100 cheaper than buying the "all in one kit). So I went that route. Well, they sent the starter kit and Milwaukee had a 2nd free 9.0 battery included with the "starter kit" this time. So I ended up with a pile of extra batteries I never even counted on.

Then come Sept-Oct the resellers throw them on Ebay and Craigslist and make a killing selling them for slightly under retail.

Just ran across the Q4 promos and looks to be some decent stuff. Is that something that can be shared here? I believe it's the pricing/deals reps/stores would see, but store pricing is blacked out, just showed suggested discounts and what deals are running... I found it on another forum

Yeah, there is no one who doesnt like that vac.

The special buy kit is with a XC 5.0 not a HO 6.0 FYI, hard to see in the pic.

Edit - in the pic it does look like it says XC 6.0 but that cant be right, but the kit includes says 48-11-1850 which is the 5.0

I was zooming in on my phone, but here on my laptop it's clearer I thought. For a second I was sure again it was 6, but I can see it being a 5 now. Staring at it like one of those hidden picture books that were a ***** to see

Yeah good thing the list the part numbers for the kits. Stare long enough and it even looks like an XC 8.0 which is a new battery LMAO

The Gen 3 packout kit with hackzall does come with XC 5.0 and HO 6.0 as someone predicted a few days ago.

Thanks, the Q4 deals look meh, I wouldn’t wait. Actual prices aren’t revealed in that doc. It likely wouldn’t be much better than other times during the year

I really like my string trimmer, hedge trimmer and blower. I can’t speak about the other brands but I would buy them again even if I didn’t have any other M18 tools.

I may have to wait and get a few slim packouts, and pull the trigger on the 3/8ths ratchet.

Don't really need another 2ah battery, but subsidizes the price a bit.

I have that string trimmer and love it... I tried the echo 58v...too heavy, but it's the strongest. Dewalt *****, ryobi no good... Ego newer ones... Ok but Milwaukee easy of use and the natural feel is batter then all the rest.. Plus goes with Milwaukee tools.. Battery last long too.. Was really surprised by Milwaukee string trimmer. Ego blower is better then Milwaukee, But blowers.. Batteries dont last.

If I didn't have any Milwaukee tools.. Yes.. I would get the ego stuff.. But eventually yu will get power tools and might as well get the best milwaukee.

I don't think, battery chainsaw is yet ready to compete with gas chainsaw..

I did the string trimmer and hedge trimmer with 9.0 battery & charger for $299 two springs ago when they first came out.

Then that Black Friday I got the blower on special for free with something else.

The hedge trimmers are awesome if you need one!

Based on the AvE review I saw a while back, I decided to skip the chain saw. I was planning on taking it with me on an off roading trip in case I needed to clear the trail of a large fallen tree branch or something like that. I think I'm just gonna get a small gas powered Husqvarna or Stihl for that instead.

:thumbup: I was surprised how well the blower works on pine needles on gravel. I just got a 9.0 battery for it because it eats 5.0 batteries in about 15 minutes. I can get a light cleanup on my entire property done on two 5.0 batteries.

I like the idea of the chainsaw, but I really don’t have a use for one.
