I was hoping for a combo deal with the new stubby impacts. Hopefully the BF price will be good on that m12 dual battery pack and 15-20% off bare tools as some did for Labor Day.

What the heck, the tool itself costs $199, anyone care to comment?

I have a fond feeling Milwaukee profits at least $50-60 from each transaction regardless. Its not much of deal after you've crunched through the numbers unless someone else can make better sense of the math

This link did exactly as described for me. Add the trimmer to the cart and then view the cart and the battery is magically there! Thanks for this I think this will be enough for me to pull the trigger.

That dual battery pack in that promo page is 3.0 batteries. It would have to be a screaming good deal to get me to pick that up. I don't think I could see myself spending more than $40 for it. Any more than that it it makes a lot more sense to just spend the $50 on a 6.0 battery.

Even on ebay the M12 3.0 packs are $48 currently, I’d bet that two pack retails at $79 or more.

winlin, They're a fine seller. The $250 kit deal is like getting 2, 9ah batteries & charger for $50 over the bare tool trimmer price. :spit:

As someone else mentioned, that 2 pk is 3ah batteries. Ebay has the 6ah for $45-50.

Edit AcmeTools currently has the 10" M18 Miter saw for $600 w/ 9ah battery & free promotional 6.5" Fuel saw, 2730 - Is what would be about $350 for the bare miter saw good? Maybe.

I agree that the 3.0 price is nuts. I did want a small battery for my stubbie, so I got a 6.0 and a 2.0.

Yeah, I really want a couple of the small 3.0 batteries for my heated hoodie, but at $50+ I just can't justify the cost to myself. Not when I can get 2.0's for $25.

I've been using powerextra 2500 mAh batteries in my flashlights and they work great. I would bet they'd do good in a hoodie too. On sale on Amazon or with eBay coupons you can pick them up for under $10/each.

Free 12.0 battery with the chainsaw kit got my attention.

So now you get two 12.0 batteries when buying the chainsaw? I feel cheated out of a 12.0 battery for being a loyal Milwaukee customer and an early adopter of the M18 chainsaw.

 I'm hoping for 10-20% w/ the extra battery included.
I'm itching to get the chainsaw.
The new sawzall & circular saw I'm not in a hurry to get. I have the 2731 & 2720 for now.
The 3/8 M12 stubby looks great but I'm hoping for an M18 version to use the dozen 18v batteries I have.

I ordered as soon as it was a pre-order and got mine for $320 off eBay. I knew they would include an extra battery at some time, but how many times will you use it before that happens. Mine just paid for itself with a recent storm. If you are just a Milwaukee tool collector/hoarder, which I also would label myself, waiting will surely save money. One thing I would never do though, is pay actually retail price.

I also bought the Super Sawzall, but sold the saw for $225, resulting in a 2nd battery for $100ish. I didn't have to wait for this promo or for 3rd party eBay sellers.

I LOVE not smelling of assoline after doing yardwork anymore, which makes me more inclined to actually do a little here or there. The only non battery, are a backpack blower that is rarely used, and garden tiller which would be tough to run off a battery.

I'd say around $110-120 bare tool. I doubt you will find it with just a charger, which I would only pay ~$10 for a standard charger if I had to buy one. The only kit you will find with the a mid-torque, is a mid-torque and batteries, as it isn't bundled with any other tools. Only kits that have flashlights seem to be larger bundled kits with multiple tools, not just a drill or driver (unless a special promo ).

I paid $110 back in July, $130 with a 15% off eBay coupon. The prices seem to have gone up slightly, the cheapest from a reliable vendor is $135:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Milwau...ilPaddedFlatRateEnvelope!86004!US!-1&LH_BIN=1

Buying the kit wouldn’t be a good investment unless you really need their plastic case. Buy the tool only for $130, two 5.0 batteries for $105, and a charger if needed for $25. You’ll be significantly ahead than spending $280+ on the kit.

HD had these for $220 new with free 5.0 battery right now. Returning the battery for $80 makes them $140 new.

you have receipt pic to prove it... you know they prorate those free battery or tool....and its not full value return.

If I understand the math correctly, the $99.00 5.0 battery should be worth $68.18 on the return, making the impact wrench $150.82 plus tax. Ebay is $173 currently, so the depot deal is a real deal.

No pic necessary, the free battery deal has been going for a month+, and goes til the end of October. Plenty of other posts on it already (Fuel Grinder, Sawzall, HTIW, drill/impact combo kit all are part of the promo).

If you look at the value he gave the battery ($80) that is definitely not the full price. He pro-rated it based off the $129 price the battery has been most of it's time on shelves. The only thing I can't confirm, is if the value of the battery has changed in store. If it is ringing $100 now, you will get closer ~$68 back for the 5.0.

Saying it's not a full value return is redundant if you just prior said it was pro-rated.

Do you get a bigger refund on the battery now or is it about the same as before on prorated basis?

Dang two others responded while I was typing my response on my phone! I'll just leave mine anyway lol.

It is packaged as one item so no you cannot return one part without returning it all. When you see people referring to returning the battery or charger they are returning a battery or charger from a bonus buy type deal that includes an individually packaged battery or charger in which case a refund amount with be stated in the original purchase receipt. For example I bought an impact for $220 with a free 5.0 battery and on the receipt it stated I could return the battery for $80 making the impact $140. There is also a refund amount associated with the impact so I can't just keep the free battery and then return the impact for full price. Hope this explanation makes sense and helps...

I think the receipt is on my desk at work but I posted numbers from my receipt earlier in this thread. The price of the battery is indeed pro rated based on the price of the tool because I bought the sawzall deal yesterday which is $179 and the return of the battery will get me $63 back.

Is there a full list of tools somewhere the free battery deal works with? Something like the PDF that was posted for the Q4 deals coming up?
