It's $159 on their website

Nice find. I couldn't find the equivalent deal for the kit (tool+batteries+charger). Anyone know of any deals for the stubby kit?

Their site has 11% off for veterans day, but trying to see if there are any better deals out there/wait till black friday or just buy now.

Does Milwaukee have a history of going cheap for Black Friday? I was looking at a few m12 things but if I can score a big deal I’ll wait.

No clue. This would be my first Milwaukee system purchase. Was hoping someone more familiar with them could chime in or comment on any other deals going on or if there might be some in the near future.

Should I get the M12 stubby? I don't have any M12 batteries yet. I wonder when an M18 stubby will appear.

I was in the same boat, I got the m12 stubby in 3/8” and love it. I got one 6.0 battery and one 2.0 battery, so far I’ve only used the 2.0 battery. Now that I have m12 I’m going to get the rotary tool and soldering iron. If they did make a smaller M18 impact I think it would still be too big.

Some retailers will run deep discounts. ToolUp has been one in the past. CM is also a good or better bet.

Acme tools did 20% off one item for CM last year. Others like CPO will likely have percentage off deals as well.

Thanks guys! I guess I can wait a few days for black friday/monday, despite my fear of missing out and getting one now :bounce:

Ok and dumb question of the day goes to this guy hahaha, thanks i thought it might have been a tool company

You aren't that far off. CM also refers to Craftsman around here, but you will usually only see that in the Sears threads.

I would reccomend keeping your eye on this thread for battery deals first & foremost. They can be found on eBay, craigslist, offerup, even Amazon sometimes. Just make sure to do your due diligence. Look at the sellers reviews, pictures of the battery, & description if you are buying on eBay or Amazon. Some sellers are selling non-genuine batteries, but usually it is pretty easy to tell (skip if it mentions the phrase 'replacement for')

How can one tell what model numbers on Milwaukee tools are the newest versions? I notice some of the kits seem to have old models in them. Is there a list somewhere to look at?

Example? I'm sure there is some old stock out of some models, but each tool gets a new model #. They also have multiple tiers of a tool sometimes. At least 3 drills, and that's before you start doubling due to hammer drill models. Entry level brushed, compact, compact brushless, Fuel. All might be current models, but at different levels of performance/features.

Hey guys check your statements on orders from International Tool!

Some of mine billed correctly.

Some of mine billed correctly and then had a separate $20 charge which was then refunded.

One of mine billed with a separate $20 charge that was not refunded. I just spoke w them over the phone and they said they'd straighten it out.

I really don't know if it was supposed to be one use per customer; I didn't read the fine print and I wasn't trying to abuse anything. I just kept finding stuff I wanted to order and placed several orders at different times. Plus they keep sending me emails about $20 off $100 on Milwaukee orders.

Bottom line, I expect to be charged what the total shows when I click "submit order." However I think they'll make it right so I'm not bashing them, just telling other consumers to check their charges.

I think I see what you're saying. 2800 kits had 2700 tools in them. 2900 kits have 2800 tools in them. Speaking mostly drills and drivers of course.

So basically multi-tool kits are 100 greater than their tools, kinda like centuries :)

i think he means: is there a chart somewhere that will tell me, given a part number, when it was released, and what newer models may exist?

given a specific drill, is there a later model (or two subsequent generations of models) that "replaced" it. i know that milwaukee doesnt necessarily stop producing things that have been superseded, especially things like batteries (you can still get "new" 1.5AH M12 batteries, even tough there are 2.0 and now, i believe, 3.0 batteries in the same form factor).

and, to answer the question as i understand it, i have never heard of one, although i can certainly see where it might be useful.

It's always wise to use PayPal. No exception there :)
Happened to me once with Sears, received a check in the mail acknowledging and apologizing for the inconvenience.

As a follow-up on Int'l Tool billing, they sent me an email within hours this morning they had credited me $20. A gentleman named Jon (with whom I spoke on the phone and who emailed me later per my request) was very helpful.

I never considered the PP thing; I guess it's not really possible for merchants to make a second charge on your PP account?

That's correct. PayPal also always shows the correct amount under the invoice section, disclosing the PayPal transaction details. PayPal is essentially a secondary layer of security to prevent unauthorized fraudulent charges.

Until PayPaws has locked up your account unnecessarily, you might think differently about them. I haven't read about it as much recently but it has happened to me, and prevented me up from selling on eBay or accessing MY funds in the account. It did get cleared up, but was a huge hassle & makes you feel pretty powerless in the situation.

Using it as forwarding payment isn't a bad idea though. My complaint is not exactly related, but makes me always think twice about using PP.

Exactly, I am entering the Milwaukee Fuel line and want to be sure I get the most current/best model out. I have always been a Dewalt guy but am switching over due to the lack of support and new tools offered by them. The Milwaukee line is allot more robust if you know what i mean. Maybe this is something we can do here. I have a place to host the file if needed and am willing to do so if we can get a list together.

You could scroll thru the product press releases

Towards the bottom of the page you'll notice a 2018 catalog to the right there is also a new products listing.

well, were i to suggest, i would start simple. pick a few of the new tools, which are easy, since they dont have multiple generations (M18 palm sander, M12 cutoff tool), a few of the not too old tools (there are two generations of the M18 blower) and one of the "been around forever, and has several generations tools".

you also need to consider what information is necessary. battery type is obvious, as is tool type, but do you also want to consider things like ability to use large format batteries (and if older tools need to be upgraded (and if you can do it at home, or it needs to be sent in)). there are also changes that get made without model number changes (like support for larger batteries).

this will allow you to get a feel for how your setup works in both directions: having a bunch of tools to choose from (width) and having one or two tools with multiple generations (depth). i suggest this because how you present it all will really be the success or failure of the project. if it is too hard to use or understand, it won't survive long. you also dont want to put a lot of work into it and find out it needs to be changed around and all your work will require substantial modification.

while it sounds like a swamp that will **** you all the way down, considering the format carefully early, and making it easy to expand will pay off in the long run.

Any idea if there will be a 15 or 20% off sale this winter? 11% off & no tax is still pretty good.
Some wallets are gonna get lighter soon. :spit:
$488.61 for the Table Saw w/ 2 batteries.
$355.11 for the other kits. That's like paying $55-65 for the tool & $140-150/battery. :shocking:

I think there will be 15-20% off deals later this month. I ordered the wet dry vac with starter kit at 11% off for $132. My reasoning was that CPO and another place only showed 1-2 in stock so maybe they would be sold out, the difference to 15% was $6, 20% was $13. Buying at Home Depot locally with tax would’ve cost me $162, so $132 still saved me $30.

I’m sure someone will post in January how they found this set pennied out, but that doesn’t seem to work for me with any regularity.

I ordered my chainsaw + 12.0s on the 11% because I didnt want to risk it being sold out before a 15-20% comes. 20% unlikely, 15% is only $15 more. If Acme has a 20% theres gonna be a lot of exclusions.

I had an issue with being overcharged on the m12 circular saw from International Tool. My total after tax was $100.52. On my credit card they posted $100.52 and another for $3.75. Not a big deal since its only a few bucks, but I called anyway. The representative was very nice and fixed it right away. He said there billing system was having many issues with overcharging orders. It might be worth it to check your cc statements for anyone whose ordered from them recently.

I have been looking at some Milwaukee power tools at work. I get them at cost + 10% so I can get some incredible deals. Any suggestions on a circular saw as well as a sawzall? Thank you in advance.

Does anyone know of any deals on that 3/8" M12 stubby? I'm going to be buying soon!

Other than the few places that still have % off deals right now, I would check CPO Tools on Ebay in hopes they drop the price of the tool only back to ~$128 which is where it was a few days ago (back to $159 now). Otherwise hold out another week and half and get most likely at 15-20% off for Black Friday/Cyber Monday

Over at CPO, the bare fuel hackzall is $103, but their M12 promo isnt working for some reason. Regular 3/8 ratchet is $77, regular 1/4 ratchet $86.

At Toolup the regular 3/8 ratchet is $99 with free 2.0 battery.

At international the 3/8 ratchet is $99 with free XC 4.0
