Catalogue pricing only. Although someone else said hd is running the same deal

I think that's bare tool + battery. I'd be gifting these to a couple students in a lower income area. Wouldn't expect them to have to come outta pocket for a charger.

Finally going to cave on one of these. Just have to decide the kit at 15% off next week or pay $9 more and get bare tool and the HD deal for a 6.0 and 3.0 battery vs 4/2.0 batteries in kit. Already have a few chargers. Right now I only have two 2.0 and 1 4.0 m12 batteries.

While there are plenty of ways to differentiate your batteries, it will be easier w/ 4 different ah labels to know which battery is full without necessarily having to plug it into a tool.

Out of curiosity, why is the 3/8" drive impact so popular? I'd figured most people would just have 1/2" drive impact sockets.

On that note, any sales on 2555-20? (Or projections of cost next week?)

I was wondering the same thing. I don't own any 3/8 inpact sockets, nor do I really know anyone that does.

For me I went 3/8 because I already have the mid torque in 1/2 and wanted smaller sockets for the stubby. The Sunex master 3/8” impact socket set with universals cost me $135. Most of my work is on domestic trucks, most everything is 19mm or smaller.

Keeping a full set of 1/2" in my vehicle is a huge chunk of weight for how seldom it is used. The GearWrench 3/8" 44-piece SAE/MM set that goes up to 21mm (had to have that for my lugs) is the perfect weight & size for keeping in a truck imo. The sockets are also smaller, giving better clearance in some situations.

I think many are converting to 3/8" as their availability has gone up more recently, as well as the power going up in the 3/8" impacts. I know all my dad ever had was 1/2", but there was a lot less choice when he was buying.

I have been a "shade tree" mechanic for over 50 years. I have always used my 3/8" and 1/4" drive sockets and accessories many more times than my 1/2". The only time I use my 1/2" drive stuff is working on suspension components (ball joints, tie rod ends) on my truck.

I got the 3/8 because the fasteners on my 911 are small; with a few aftermarket parts, my vehicles weighs ~2850lbs. Working clearances are also tight and most of my work is done with 1/4" drive. So for me, 3/8" drive stuff if "big". All my impacts and sockets are 3/8" drive. I'll eventually invest in the 1/2" drive system when I get another vehicle, but for now, you can say you know someone who owns only 3/8" drive impacts. :)

I have that Sunex set also. And never really used it much, yet.
What’s this 3/8 stubby max torque? I’ve seen nut busting at 260 with adapter. But that was 1/2 inch unit.

The 3/8 and 1/2 are the same unit with a different anvil on the end.

What’s max torque? I don’t have my dig tq wrench or I’d check.Feels like 150-160 using 1/2” adapter.
Edit:adding info
Some vid says 250 torque also , so with adapter I’m probably guessing very close.

Hey BroncoAZ,Didnt see your comment so I went looking.Using an adapter it didn’t move 175 ft/lb using a cm adapter very well.I need a 3/8 22mm impact socket to see if that’s better without adapter. My lug spec is 175 ft lb. The 3/8 stubby did loosen 1 out of 3 that I tried. The adapter is the weakening bit of it.

I'm looking for a couple things this year (well...one or the other, can't swing both)

1/2" M18 Fuel impact (2767-22 Kit with (2) 5.0 batteries and charger) $300 on ebay.

M18 Fuel drill/driver combo (2997-22) $285 on ebay
Edit: 2997-23 ($329)....might as well get a sawzall for $44 extra

Are these the best prices going now? Any better deals coming on Black Friday/Cyber Monday?

Just depends what you're working on--I started with the 2763 1/2" impact, and it was great where I could use it.. but it's not exactly light/easy to handle/small enough to fit into smallish places. I've gotten much, much more use out of a 3/8" impact than the 1/2" ones. Not because the 3/8" stuff requires an impact, but because it's so much faster than doing it by hand.

Most of the stuff I use a 1/2" impact on I really NEED an impact wrench to get off (or a breaker bar and a lot of weird noises), but for the 3/8" stuff I use an impact just because it's so much faster and easier than having to ratchet off every nut/bolt

I haven’t tried setting up a test to chase the limits of capability, and most of the time aIf would just assume use the mid torque for lug nuts. I was using a small 2.0 battery for the 145 ft/lb lugs on my 2006 Dodge 2500, most of the testing videos it appears they are using a XC battery, so maybe that makes a difference.

I purchased a single Sunex 13/16” 3/8” drive deep socket (for my Bronco lug nuts) for $6. My master set stopped at 3/4”. They have 22mm available.

tell them to check the shipping weight, and then the item weight of the chain saw . . . . . i have found that usually stops the dancing around . . . . .

Yeah, the box seemed to have been re-taped, hard to say if that happened before shipment or in shipment. And if it did fall out in a UPS hub who knows if it was typical "we don't give a ****" or if it was intentional theft.

I took shots before opening because the box felt so light

I also ordered TWO table saw kits from these guys which I haven't opened yet, but it occurred to me since the outer plastic wrap was intact (albeit battered from FL to CO) theft is virtually impossible. I also ordered a stubby impact, ratchet, inflator and M12 circular saw and all those were ok.

But this combined w the billing errors...how they handle it will dictate whether I consider Int'l a top contender in my online Milwaukee shopping or a last place to look after others have been exhausted.

I had that exact socket to use my 2654 and 2754 on my ex-wife's Yukon.

But again, having the Astro Nano sockets in 1/2" dr meant the 1/2" stubby made the most sense for me

Any projections on m12 fuel stubby 1/2 impact price next week? Looks like it's $139 right now after a $20 discount on International tool. Not sure how much a tool this new would be discounted.

Two of these at the local HD. Seems like a good deal. I don't see much one key stuff, was it not all it was cracked up to be?

He is referencing the pic uploaded in the Milwaukee thread, but forgot it here

The latest Gen3 drill/impact did not have OK varients when they were first released this year. Only like last month were they released, so a little slower for those to get out. I also feel they got rid of the OK Sawzall in store to make room for the new Super Sawzall. Other than those 3 items, my stores never regularly stocked OK items.

I do like having different sawzall settings for different materials. I'm not drilling enough of anything consistently that I use the OK in that, but can see the benefit to programming RPM's & such. I sold my OK impact driver due to preferring the Fuel Surge. I have the OK 1/2" wrench, but it was only a couple more dollars to upgrade at the time. I don't use it hardly enough to bother programming.

There is some peace of mind knowing the tools are sort of being tracked, or I could lock them out if I wanted. Maybe when they integrate Google Assistant for spoken programming. "I'm drilling a 2-1/2" hole with bi-metal hole saw" would be cool.

ToolUp has $25 off any order of $100 or more until tomorrow w/ Code MIL25
2899-22 kit is $254 after $25 off as an example. It's just the 2704 drill & 2760 Surge.

It's bluetooth, only good for about 100 FT, yada yada. One-Key is overhyped & not worth it to me unless it's similar price to regular stuff.

And did say some peace. I don't know about you, but I can only think of 2 tools I might use when they are 100ft away, a light & radio. Tool walks off, it locks out from being used. I do believe the advantages of it deserve a small premium, but not what the retail difference is, maybe 20 a tool.

They did a terrible job marketing it. The concept is great and I like the idea that you can tailor the tool via bluetooth/programming and kinda track it. What I didn't like, as stated above, was the rediclous premium they were looking to get. Like $50-70 a tool and they don't have any tracking for the batteries whereas Dewalt does, or at least they did.

Other half of the problem was they did not promote it. They had regular fuel tools always on sale. Drill/impact fuel combo kits for $250 with extra battery. The 1-key system was an additional $100. How could anyone justify the extra cost?

Anyone here order from tool up? Dummy me placed an order for the stubby and the two pack batterys before I looked at the reviews and I don't look too stellar.
Thanks you for posting the the code for $25 off by the way.
