The "hammer" drill is what was turning me off at first as I really don't need that option. And, eventually I want to get M18 drill and impact drivers so wasn't sure if the M12 stuff would be nice to have for lighter duty tasks or if they'd just be redundant and not used once I got the M18 stuff.
I own both. The m18 is almost unnecessary for me as a home DIY guy. I use my high torque impact and the m12.Hmm, that option actually sounds pretty good. Not getting the 1/4" ratchet but it's the Fuel line so very nice stuff and not only two batteries but one is a big one.

I think it's more the other way around. You'll use the M12 drill most of the time, and then pull out the M18 when you need to use an 1 1/2" paddle bit, or a big hole saw. My 1st gen M12 fuel drill will handle a 1 1/2" bosch paddle bit, but it needs an XC battery and it can be a bit of a fight.
This is great to hear. And actually I was using my 18v Craftsman the other day and annoyed by how big and heavy it was for the work I was doing. Perhaps I'm judging too much based on other, smaller tools I've used before - like the small 12v Craftsman drill I have which I assumed to be about the same size as the milwaukee. But now looking at more pics it looks like this drill may be a lot more substantial.this is how I use them. most of my usage is m12, I go to the m18 stuff when m12 is inadequate, which is getting less and less often . . . . .
Yeah, I figured it'd doubtful I'd really ever need it and if it adds any weight or complexity to the tool then why bother? But, in this case it may not be easy comparing to other options due to varying pricing promotions. You rarely see the non-hammer drills or kits go sale much, presumably due to Milwaukee sort of pushing the hammer drill kits based on volume production. I don't ever use mine, but it's there if you end up needing to drill some relatively small holes in concrete.
There's also a similar kit w/o the hammer drill but it's $6 more and looks like there are other differences too. The impact looks to be an older model that is larger. Drill may be an older version too?if it is true that the drill driver kits go on sale less often than the hammer drill kits, which I have no reason to doubt, I just dont keep track, I would assume that Milwaukee needs to put them on sale more to keep volume up to make it worth producing them.
best bare tool for the 2767-20 I could find today on the bay from a seller I would trust was about $159.

On many afternoons, you will see some 0 transaction sellers offering this for some ridiculously low price of $84 or $85 shipped. Those either fell off the truck or fell off a warehouse shelf or it is just a scam. Sometimes these O sellers mail you an empty box or with some inert weight and then you have to appeal and wait and hope to get a refund. Not worth the risk.
My drill died after 15 years...time for a new one..what's the best deal on 18v fuel packout?
, but has jumped considerably on other sites. Great deal for getting a new HO 6.0 battery, a large PO, and fuel hackzall.Originally Posted by Rusty67 View Post 2x 9ah batteries with charger for 180: [url said:https://www.internationaltool.com/sh...0P!plus9200966[/url]
This was on slickdeals front page.
Back in stock at international tool
I ordered this and consistent with my past dealings with IT - orders seem to fall into a black hole. No communication at all. No updates. No apparent progress.
When I have inquired about long delays for the 3-4 past orders I placed, I was told either it was backordered, or out of stock or the order was cancelled or they were still catching up with heavy volume. But nary a word from them on this.
Welp, bought the M12 Fuel Hammer Drill / Impact kit and just tested 'em on some stuff around the garage. They are definitely significantly weaker than the 19.2v Craftsman drill I already have so I'm a little unsure if I want to keep these tools or return them. Great price, no doubt but after talking to y'all I was hoping this may be a replacement for my old drill. Not sure now if I should keep this kit or opt for something else and keep my Craftsman until it dies and then replace it with some M18 stuff.I own both. While I could see the smaller form of the M12 being attractive, I'd be pissed the first time I ran into a situation where the drill couldn't hack it. My drill has been a corded 1/2" Milw. holeshooter, so I knew "downgrading" would leave me questioning stouter options. Go M18, don't look back.
Good catch. Something was stolen, either the tools or the money spent on eBayPistol - I noticed he has no ebay history and has only been an ebay member for one day.

Found a 2130-20 M18 Tower Light at Depot for $100.. ymmv. Looks like they’re moving them in favor of the 2131-20 lights they have on display now.
That looks like a great kit! I'd like an M18 kit eventually, but right now all I really need is an M12 battery and charger to pair with the 3/8" FUEL ratchet I received for christmas. Batteries are expensive by themselves so figured it may make sense to look for a kit and in a sense get a tool or two for cheap/free along with batteries I need anyway.I got the M18 fuel hammer drill / surge impact driver combo for. 2899-22

This makes a lot of sense if you have both at your disposal - you have plenty of options. For now I'm really gonna be limited to the M12 until I can justify an M18 setup (probably when my Craftsman dies).I have both M12 and M18. For years I rarely used the M12 since the M18 could do everything and more. In the past year I have been reaching for the M12 more often than the M18. It is smaller and lighter and does most jobs. I prefer it with a square base battery so it can stand up. For 90% of what I do, the M12 works fine.
Yeah, I've been waiting for my Craftsman to die so I'm forced to buy something new, lol. But, truthfully my Craftsman has been awesome, extremely reliable and durable. I've beat on it quite hard (but it doesn't see daily use by any means).I started to replace my Craftsman 19.2 withe the M18's a year ago when Sears Canada shut down. The M18s are superb, but I rarely (but when I do I DO) need the power. One day I was reading these threads and found the express.google.com site listed and took a look. Found the M12 Fuel hammer drill in a packout for $99 - 20% and boght it and the matching Fuel Impact driver in the packout also for $99. Yes they were a little older model, but $79 including a $25 packout (paid $5 for the bins) was a steal.
Now i use the M12 for 90% of my work and added the M12 screwdriver for $70 Canadian including two 1.5 Ah batteries.
I do prefer the M18 Hakzall and circ saws over the M12s, but I have both...
Addiction they name is Milwaukee...
Is the free 12.0 battery deal still going? I didn’t see the signs at my HD the other day.
It is still going online:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwauk...PIPHorizontal2_rr-_-305056992-_-306638651-_-N
Not sure about in store. If it is still going in store I'm going to try and grab one today if I have time.
I have no idea what the hell Home Depot is doing. Every single store within 30 miles is either completely sold out of batteries or almost sold out. And they have not been restocked since before Black Friday.
Both M12 and M18. The only batteries they still have, if any, are the 2 packs or the really expensive high output M18's.
Yeah, you can buy them online, but in-store their tool+battery combos have been completely pointless.
i just bought an m12 6ah on ebay for 60. the standard deal on the 4ah was 45-55 so i figured spending a little more for the 6 was worth itNot a deal, but a warning. Looks like battery prices are going up. M12 6ah at HD, CPO, Toolbarn is now $99.
The 1.5 also got a bump to $49, which is the same as the 2.0.
I haven't checked eBay, which may have some sellers who have not re-priced based off this, if you have been looking to buy one.
